Nayeon - Outside 

Jeongyeon - Middle

Description of positions 

Libero - The best line of defence, main job is to get the balls back up. 

Setter - Decides the team plays, controls where the ball is set to.

Outside - Mainly spikes the ball. (can block as well)

Middle - Mainly blocks at the net. (can hit as well)

Ace - Someone who has a perfect weapon that is sure to bring points.

Service ace - when a serve goes over the net and the point is won without anybody touching it

Jump serve - a type of serve that you throw up very high and jump up as if you were to spike it then hit it straight into the opposing team's court. 

Dig - A type of recieving that requires you to put your hands together and let the ball bounce off your forearms.

Set - A type of recieveing that requires you to put yourr hands above your forehead to spring the ball up high.

Spike - A type of attacking that requires you to do a specific step sequence that helps elevate your jump to hit the ball down in the opposing team's court. 

Match Point - The point before the final set. There is usually 25 points in a set (match point = 24 points) 

Dive - when you push yourself on to the floor (kinda like you slide across the floor) and save the ball with a dig.

Defend - Be ready to hit the ball back up 

Recieve - To get the ball back up into play when passed from the other team

Attack - a play that is normally spiking or serving 

NOTE: this is inspired by HAIKYUU so i'm sorry if it feels too similar to it. 

 

 

"Chaeng to me!" Momo yelled putting her right hand up as she transitioned to a spike run up. 

Chaeyoung set the ball up with the best conditions and watched as Momo jumpd up to spike it only to be blocked by the team on the other net. 

"Damn it" Momo cursed begrudgingly. "I should've hit it harder" 

"Unlucky Momo-ya" Sana said putting her hand out for a high five. 

Momo didn't anything but still high fived Sana out of routine and got ready to recieve.

"This serve's going to be short!" Jihyo yelled as the other team got ready to serve. 

They've been stuck in this rotation for ages and they were watching the distance between the two team's points get bigger and bigger.

They were losing and it was taking quite a toll on the team's mood. Everyone was dead beat and serve after serve, the team lost points and it was now the opposing teams match point.

Their rotation hadn't changed and it they were in a difficult position. The whistle blew and the ball came over the net. It was a jump serve. And it was one hell of a jump serve. It literally went straight with no curve to it and not to mention the speed it was going at. 

"OUT!" Jihyo called as she watched it come over but at the last moment, Jihyo saw the ball about to hit the court lines. "NO-" 

Before Jihyo could explain to her confused teammates, Dahyun had saved the ball with a dive and the ball was spiralling out of the court. 

Only Jeongyeon was fast enough to run from her position to save the ball getting it back up again in the right direction falling at the same time. 

"GO GO GO!" Jeongyeon yelled as she got back up and ran to defend. 

The ball Jeongyeon delivered was perfect, so perfect that Momo could spike it form her positioning. So she did. 

"MINE!" Momo said as she started her run up. 

One side of the court went wild cheering while the other didn't. TWICE had lost their championships and they could only watch as the ball fell back down to the floor as Momo lost against the block of the opposing team.
