- Introduction -

Kings

"The one who wants to wear the crown, must bear its weight."

-♛-

The crown, made of pure gold decorated with a multitude of expensive jewels, looked heavy on her head yet she carried it with such confidence and ease that made it look perfect for her. She held her head high and smiled at her people, giving them the reassurance they needed as their ruler and guardian. She had a fiery determination in her eyes and the pose deserving of a ruler and warrior. She was no ordinary girl, she was a guardian. She was a queen.

But that would soon change.

The crown burdened her and reminded her of all the responsibilities she failed. She failed her people. She failed her family. She failed the guardians. She failed him. And failing had consequences, and she had to face them. She would lose her crown. She would lose her people. She would lose the guardians, just like how she lost him.

She lost her light.

Without her light, she would be lost in the dark path she had to walk through. Without her light, the darkness would consume her and turn her into a monster. Without her light, she would be gone.

Without the light, darkness would not survive.
