Footsteps are heavy and sharp breathing could be heard but all was put into silence as the crisp noises of dried leaves being stepped on grew closer and the rustling of leaves increases.

"They'll get to us. We'll be caught." A boy whispered harshly to the tall and skinny girl next to him but he was shushed with her covering his mouth with one hand and the other busy trying to contact the elders

"No. The elders will come. They will save us, they will save you." The girl turned to look at the boy and was met with the boy's big, round eyes b with tears

"No, they won't. They can't find us, you can't contact them. You've lost your powers, Sulli-noona. I think it's best to just give up, they're near." the boy wiped his tears away too harshly that it left red marks on either side of the corner of his eyes.

Sulli's eyes widened and her heart sank but she pretends not to hear him and insistently tries to contact the elders by creating a spark on the surface of her palm but it was of no use. She knew that her powers were out of her from earlier, there was nothing that she could do and that's when hot tears came streaming down her cheeks as she looks at the helpless boy in front of her

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, Hansol. I'm useless, I can't save you. I can't save us" She continues to sob silently as she kneels down in front of the boy, covering to prevent her from making loud noises, stalling them some time

"It's okay, noona. I'm sorry I brought this upon you, I'm sorry if I was a burden to you but I want to say thank you. Thank you for staying with me til the end." Hansol slowly dropped to his knees and grabbed Sulli's hand, trying to wipe the tears away from her cheeks irregardless of his own

"Being a Fontaine de jouvence was not my choice but it was my fate, my destiny. I'm proud of myself for surviving this long, I hope they will also be-" Before Hansol could even finish his sentence, the décès have already got to him and Sulli's shrieks filled the forest. Hansol was pierced straight the heart from the back with their thorny and long stick-like arms.

"No, no, no! Hansol, wake up! No, you can't" Sulli's vision was blurred from her own tears, she pulled Hansol's fallen body closer to her as she tries to wake him up. She caressed his pale face and placed a hand over his chest but it was only soaked in his blood

"YOU BEASTS! I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU!" Sulli roared at the black shadow-like creatures surrounding her and Hansol, awaiting for the opportunity to retrieve his body from her grasp. Sulli could smell the foulness in their breaths, it smelled like death. Their eyes were so black, deep, and endless, and if she were to fall in, she feels like she would keep falling without ever reaching the bottom. Their long and slick tongue were hanging from their agape mouth. They were very terrifying to look at, the mere aura of them is enough to make her skin crawl.

"Stay away! Stay away! ELDERS, PLEASE HEAR ME. I NEED YOUR HELP" Sulli desperately calls to the empty sky but nothing happened and the décès were inching towards them, any traces of Hansol's blood on the ground, trying not to waste any of his precious blood.

"Please.. please help us" Sulli has given up as she drops her head low. She knew the Elders won't be able to help her, she knew it'd be too late if they'll come now. She has to accept the fact that Hansol is gone and now, she'll be gobbled up by these beasts. So, she muster all of the energy left in her body to use any traces left of her power to send a message to the Elders or to the High.

She hugged Hansol's lifeless body close to her as she uses her leftover power for the last time and chanted loudly for the heavens, Elders, and the High to hear, "Another Fontaine de jouvence is killed. Save the last one." 

And as if on cue, she shut her eyes tightly close as the décès advanced to them and she breathed her last breath as one of them pierced their arms through her chest, pain was resonating throughout her body and her grip on Hansol has finally loosened.

So, what do you guys think? This is just the prologue and the boys will be introduced later on.

And yes, that's Sulli as in Choi Sulli and Hansol as Ji Hansol who was part of the Sm Rookies before.
