jaehyuk stands in a dark room. his eyes haven't adjusted quite yet, and he's fumbling his way to find any semblance of a solid object. he can feel the sweat beginning to prick up through his palms and the familiar twisting in his stomach. it is quiet--no, it's silent. his throat is tight and he can't even make to clear it.

after what feels like hours of grappling with the dark, his hands finally come into contact with something soft ...like crushed velvet. his breath hitches and he moves closer to it. what is it what is it what is it--

he waits for his eyes to adjust, but nothing happens. his hands continue to slide over the softness in front of him. come on come on come on--

all of a sudden, a spotlight shines down before him. it burns his eyes and he hisses as he recoils. he blinks a few times, waits for his eyes to adjust, and then he's lunging forward. the spotlight is almost heavenly in its rays, making the one before him sparkle.

sitting in front of him is brown the bear in all of his glory. jaehyuk feels his heart swell, his entire body filled with a warm and admiration for this bear. as he moves to approach him, a deep voice resonates throughout the space.

"why did you abandon me for ryan, jaehyuk?" brown bellows. "why did you betray line friends for the despicable kakao friends?"

jaehyuk's barely able to string any words into a coherent sentence. "i-i...it's not like that, it's just--"

"you will pay for this, jaehyuk," brown hisses. "you. will. pay."

and jaehyuk sits upright in his bed, wheezing, sweat beading along his forehead and trickling down his spine. he collapses back down onto the mattress, hugging his pillow to him and waiting for his eyes to stop watering. the dream.. it felt so .. Real ..

his eyes drift up to see the brown stuffed animal sitting in the corner of his room. something in him twists and he leaps out of his bed and out of his room.

the other tenants wake up to see packets of maxim strewn all over the kitchenette, boxes of cereal haphazardly tossed every which way, and a certain kim jaehyuk hunched over a bowl of ore-o's and eating them like his life depends on it. 

"dude..." one of the tenants mumbles. "what are you doing."

"i literally just went grocery shopping yesterday !!!" another tenant wails. "now we're out of everything again !!!"

"you drank all the in milk you !!!" another tenant bellows, striding up to smack jaehyuk over the head.

jaehyuk winces, holding his bowl of ore-o's close to his chest with an almost primal motion. "leave me alone ! i'm stress eating !!"

the other tenants look among themselves, some shrugging while others are rolling their eyes.

"you haven't even gone into work yet," one tenant says. "how can you be stress eating ??"

jaehyuk sheepishly looks down into his cereal, chuckling awkwardly under his breath. "so, i might've...had...a .. nightma..re ???"

a collective groan goes up amid all the tenants and they're rushing to put him into a chokehold before he can even blink.
