Minji was the heir to the throne. She was the only offspring of the current ruling family. Her father was the king while her mother was the queen. It was obvious she would be the next ruler. The only problem was that she was too playful. She would often skip tutoring to play in the wild. Minji could be labeled as a free soul; that was until her parents told her of her arranged marriage. It was to a far-off neighboring country with a beautiful princess.

The princess was slightly younger than her but was stunning. Minji’s breath got caught in while viewing the younger girl. She wanted nothing more than for the marriage ritual to take place today. As an alpha, she wanted to claim the princess then and there. Her instincts told her too. If not for her father and mother, she would have raised hell from this.

“When do I get to meet her?” Minji asked, trying not to seem desperate.

“As soon as the princess hits the tender age of twenty.” Her father said in a calm tone.

Minji growled at this. How was she supposed to last four more years without this beauty? She could not last without her bride.

“Father, please send me into inclusion. I do not wish to see anyone else besides my destined.” Minji said in a hushed tone as she got down on her knees to beg.

Her mother and father seemed to be taken aback by this gesture but seemed to relent.

“Fine, go work hard to make yourself complete for the nation and for your future mate.” Her father demanded.

Minji bowed and escorted herself out. She knew she needed to be alone to deal with her feelings for Siyeon.

Four years later

Minji sighed as she saw her father’s men beside her. She had grown now. She fully capable of controlling her desires. She was also the strongest soldier in the land. As an alpha, there was no doubt she was the strongest one.

She was brought back to the palace with her parents waiting. The time was coming, and she wouldn’t let it be to waste.

“Minji-ah, I worried about you while you were away. Are you okay? No injuries?” her mother asked worried as she rushed towards her.

Minji chuckled as she embraced her mother, “Don’t worry. I’ve become strong over the years.”

Her mother started to sob in her arms at the statement. He father, on the other hand, stood on the sidelines with a smirk on his face. He seemed to know and understand what Minji was going through.

“You’ll meet your betrothed tonight, Minji-ah.” Her father sternly said.

Minji smiled to herself as she let her mother. She had been waiting for this. She dreamed of Siyeon since that fateful day,

The following day Minji met her.

It happened as soon as she awoke. Her parents told her that Siyeon was here and she hurriedly put on her formal clothes. She quickly went out to meet Siyeon. Her family was already present at their dinner table when Minji walked up. Her breathing hitched when she made eye contact with Siyeon. She noticed the omega shutter in her seat. It seemed that Minji’s pheromones were too much for the younger. She attempted to pull them back in as she took a seat across Siyeon.

It seemed the whole world froze for Siyeon. She was told at the tender age of 16 that she was betrothed to an alpha of the enemy kingdom. At first, she was against the idea. As time went by she warmed up to the idea. She never heard of Minji’s outings or flings. It seemed the alpha intended to stay faithful to her. From what she heard about alphas, she wasn’t sure of what to expect. She definitely didn’t expect this beauty in front of her. as soon as their eyes connected, she felt entranced.

The pheromones of the table changed, and the parents seemed to notice. As soon as someone touched Siyeon, Minji growled and started to get ready to attack.

Siyeon, on the other hand, shrank into uncertainty and instincts. Which made the alpha growl more. The alpha’s dominance seemed to shrink everyone around her as she prepared to protect the omega.

It seemed to alpha noticed Siyeon’s discomfort as she reeled back her pheromones. Although Siyeon felt like she could breathe, her body still seemed to react to the alpha across from her. This couldn’t be good. Siyeon felt her heat coming on even though it was weeks before. She looked up to see the alpha’s eyes’ dilatated and peering right into her. that seemed to make things worse. Siyeon wrapped her arms around herself to try to comfort herself.

“I think it is time to get my betrothed and I a room,” Minji said in a calm tone, her eyes never leaving the shivering omega.

Nothing could be said as Minji stood up and made her way to Siyeon. The pheromones she was pushing out was enough to keep others away as she made her way to the shivering omega.

“Will you move, please?” She growled at the person sitting next to Siyeon.

The man shivered and quickly got up, unable to withstand Minji’s dominance. Minji sat down slowly, wrapping her arm around Siyeon. She started to pump out calming pheromones for the omega in her arms.

Siyeon seemed to relax somewhat once Minji embraced her. It wasn’t too long after that Minji’s servant had a room prepared for the two. Minji quickly pulled Siyeon up and escorted her to the room.

“Sh, you will be okay. I will not hurt you,” Minji whispered into Siyeon’s ear as she led her to the heat chamber.

Minji did not wish to harm her mate in any way. Although she could not deny the desire of wanting to ravage her. Her rut had come as soon as she noticed the omega’s heat. Minji knew to was best to push back these desires.

They arrived in the room and Minji rested Siyeon on the bed with a smile. She took a step back and turned around, not wanting to add to her distress.

“I will sleep on the couch. If you need me, call.” Minji said in a distressed voice as she took a step out of the suite door towards the couch on the other side.

“W-wait. Please stay.” Siyeon croaked as she gathered all her energy to convince the alpha to stay.
