Shownu was one of the lucky ones. While he was sworn to secrecy, he got to serve the princess. It's not like he got to interact with her, but it was an honour nonetheless. He started leaving books for her every time he visited, figuring it would be lonely to be trapped up in this tower alone. He wasn't sure if she was reading them until a note was left scribbed on scrap paper in the cover of one of the books; 'Less like this. More adventure'. It was a command from the princess, and he was sure to follow it. He chose more adventure oriented books, bringing a few at the time since she seemed to be a quick reader. Carrying a particularly large stack one day he had caught a glimpse of the princess, and they locked gazes. It wasn't much, but her eyes and look had his pulse racing and his heart thumping. 

When the enemy decided to attack and overrun the castle, Shownu's first thought was to rescue Heiran. Not many people knew of her existence, and he was going to make sure she would make it out alive. Saving her from the enemy, he takes her back to his house deep in the woods, shared by people he calls his brothers. Shownu and his brothers share a deep secret, one that Heiran is curious to figure out.
