Chapter 5

 

"Woah" Seulgi said in awe as they arrived infront of the building, she took a better look at the building infront of them, her eyes lit in excitement, it almost looked like a 5 star hotel if only the surrounding was not that dirty, 

 

"Ya sure this is the right building?" Joy said sarcastically while opening the back of the van, she asked her two friends to help her move her things and at the same time assist her to the new building, she just nodded,

 

"uh yeah i guess? what made you say that?" she said, still staring at the building infront of her, now that she got a better view at it, she sensed a tingling feeling that she's been here before, but can't remember when,

 

"because this is the type of the apartment that you need to sell your soul first just to live here" she chuckled at what Joy said, she heard a small laugh coming through Wendy too, 

 

"Thats too much" Seulgi said while shooking her head, then in the corner of her eyes she saw that they started to lift the bags,

 

"Hey bear, aren't you gonna help us?" Joy said while lifting bags all over her, one on her back, on her right shoulder, and a lifting two big boxes on her arms, enough to cover her whole face,

 

"Oh yeah, sorry" she rushed to the car and put the other boxes on the ground so she can get it later then she lift the boxes that she can, now that she think of it, it will take her a while to fix things because of how many it is, 

 

She was about to close the back of the van but she can't reach it because of the stuff she's holding,

 

"Need some help?" she heard a unfamiliar voice, she looked at the person on her back, she saw a cute girl smiling at her, she noticed that the girl was shorter than her, but she don't have to decline the offer right? so she just nod,

 

"Uhhhh... yes thank you" she moved to the other side and watch the girl struggle to reach door of the van, she tried so hard not to laugh but she can't so she just chuckled but she made sure that the girl wouln'dt notice,

 

"Yah" she finally reached it, in Seulgi's suprise she started to lift the remaining boxes,

 

"No need to-" 

 

"I insist" she said with a smile, 

 

"oh thank you" then they started to enter the building, it was extremely awkward when they walked to the hallway, silence took over, she was about to speak but she saw the girl stopped,

 

"Sorry, I haven't fully introduce my self" then she saw the girl bow and introduced herself, "My name is Kim Yerim but you can call me Yeri" 

 

Yeri raised her arm and Seulgi shook her hand as a response,

 

"I'm Kang Seulgi, but you can call me Seulgi" they smiled at each other as they continue to walk, 

 

As they reached the room, she saw Joy and Wendy stretching their arms and back, 

 

"What took you so long?" Wendy asked, the two girls attention went to the girl who's putting the boxes on the ground and stretched both her arms, they both took a better look at the girl and when they finally recognised her, they gasp,

 

"Yeri?!" they both said, and now Yeri approach them suprised and happily, they talked to each other like theres no other people than them, 

 

while Seulgi just stood there, watching them laugh and talk, she waited for the girls to notice her, but they didn't seem to notice her existence, so she cleared ,

 

"You knew each other?" finally she caught there attention at last, 

 

Joy told her how they all met and stuff but she didn't really bothered to listen, they both nod, Seulgi ended up nodding too, she didn't know what that is so she just started to lift the things up and opened the door, 

 

dropped, as she walks in she saw how spacious the room is, on the left side she saw an empty kitchen, there were already big cabinets on the wall, on the right side is another room, she figured it was the bed room, then she scanned the empty space infront of her, she noticed that the window was so huge, she walked closer to see the view, 

 

"Wow" She could see her school just a across the street, which gain her an advantage because she used to arrive at school late or rather arriving home late because of how long she would have to walk, and another advantage because she would have more time to fix herself, unlike before, she usually wake up late, cause of she is a heavy sleeper, which is one of the reasons why she arrive late, she always rushes to do things in the morning, but in what did she get, scolded by the teacher,

 

"We're done Seulgi" Joy said, she saw the boxes was already inside and the only thing that she got to do is to arange her things,

 

"This sure look spacious, compared to the one before, where your things is all cramped up" Wendy said, they were at the window, sighting the view, then Wendy pointed at the school, she might have noticed the school was just near, "and the school is just across the street, you sure are lucky to be living here" 

 

"I guess" Seulgi shrugged, 

 

"By the way Yeri" Joy said, she got suprised when she saw Joy sitting on the floor, Yeri hummed,

 

"How did you know that we were here?" Joy asked,

 

"Well I don't exactly know but I saw Seulgi trying to close the van so I helped her, I was about to-" Her expression quickly changed, she suddenly grabbed Wendy's arm and checked her watch, She gasped,

 

"Crap I'm late" 

 

"No We're late" Joy suddenly stood up, at first Wendy's expression is like what? but Joy used some kind of sign language and Wendy somehow undertood it, 

 

"Sorry Seulgi, We really need to go now" Then they rushed to the door, "We're so sorry, Promise we'll make it up to you next time" She heard Wendy said, then they shut the door, leaving Seulgi alone, 

 

"Its fine" She said to herself, she begun to open the first box, she got interupted when someone knock the door, 

 

Huh? Maybe it was Wendy, forgot her stuff again,

 

She rushed to opened the door, she was fully expecting Wendy to be there but it wasn't her, instead she got suprised when Irene was the one infront of her, she was wearing her casual clothes, although her hair is kinda messy, 

 

"You?! Again?!" they both shouted, 

 

"What are you doing here?" Seulgi asked,

 

"I should be asking you that, What are you doing here?" Irene said furiously, 

 

"I just moved here" Irene's face got curious, then she crossed her arms,

 

"Really? So your the person that my mom is telling me about"

Wait don't tell me she's the owner's daughter,

"Uhhhh... your mom?" Seulgi asked, 

 

"Yes, My mom owns this apartment"

Was Seulgi could only think, she knows from the start, from the very first day she was born that, Luck was never with her, but why? why must it go this far?
