the power of women was prominent in south korea as girl groups were being debuted and dominating the charts. for some, the achievement wasn't easy as long nights at the practice room were spent instead of sleeping or constant starvation to appease the company and papparazzi. no matter the company, the girls in korean music industry were held to a different standard. it was if that the world viewed women as objects and not of equal status. in fact, girl groups that didn't have a y edge or cute girl crush image, it was a turn off. however, it seemed as if the female side of the hallyu wave seemed to favor the image of a strong women concept.

lupercal media was founded to push the norm of south korean music expectations. with a wealthy family to back up her business expansion, ceo da hui decided to create her own entertainment to be the home of talented artists. her mind was set on creating a girl group that would be able to to challenge the view on strong women. the only problem was that ceo da hui didn't take account to was the fact that girls would barely make a dent in the vast sea called the k-pop scene.
