Description

Foreword
in which the phantom thieves are an urban legend around incheon, dedicated to erasing the corruption among adults through "stealing their hearts," but they turn out to be a ragtag group of rebellious and determined teenagers with an inextinguishable sense of justice. and jeon jeongguk? he's the cheeky high school student with a bad reputation who also happens to be the catalyst to bring everything into motion.

a/n: holy after years i finally decided to put up a story on my own ??? i was so inspired by the persona 5 game itself (11/10 would recommend, y'all won't regret it istg) and fics i've been reading about it that i c a n n o t put out writing about this and what's better than mixing the best rpg game ever with bts yay !!
this is fic is self indulgent and tbh some of their personalities have taken inspiration from the persona 5 characters (actually more on their codenames hi jeongguk and jimin and what their personas are like so you have been warned!!)
i'm super nervous about posting this seriously this has been in my docs for m o n t h s so i hope you guys will give this some love and tell me watchu think about it !!
persona lingo
- persona : a manifestation of one's personality, referred to as a "mask" for an individual to use to face hardship. they are normally obtained when the person decides to rebel and take revenge for being wronged or taken advantage of.
- shadows : contrasting to persona, a shadow is the more malevolent manifestation of one's self and thoughts. defeating a person's "shadow self" often leads them to be "free" from their corruption and admit their wrongdoings.
- metaverse : the dimension where a person's distorted desires are visually represented. palaces are usually formed here, where they are a product of one's strong negative and corrupt thoughts that warp the perceptions of people into a hazard for others and themselves.
- mementos : the palace for everyone's hearts. shadows can only be found in mementos and in the metaverse.
