Author’s Pov

The numerous couple are walking along the street full of sweetness and colorfulness. But in the middle of them is a man who looked like a drunkard walking toward his way. The men in the couple tried their best to protect their partner without bumping into him.

Finally, he walked into the garden which is familiar with a flower emporium.

“Hani yah… Hani yah…” he kept knocking the door of the shop.

“Hani yah… Would you please come out? Just shout to me like you use to be. It’s okay to talk informal to me and I won’t scold you again”

After a few minutes, a middle-aged woman came out and crossed her arms across her chest.

“It’s the best if you go home. Your parents won’t like the idea of you coming here very often. Fortunately, you don’t have any reason to come here now” she faced away after talking to him.

Sang Woo got up from sitting.

“Ommoni… Please forgive me. I will take Hani away from these conflictions. Just let her talk with me for a moment” Sang Woo begged the woman.

“I’m sorry that you’re late for that now. She’s already left” she faced Sang Woo and gave him the last words. She then went back into the shop.

“Left? What do you mean left? Ommoni…” Sang Woo kept on knocking the door.

After a quarter minutes, he was taken by the police. Although he kept yearning for the one girl that he loves, nothing has changed.

 

“Sang Woo yah… Sang Woo yah…” another middle-aged woman rushed into the police station and saw her son sitting on a chair in front of a young-looking policeman.

“Sang Woo yah… Are you okay? EXCUSE ME! DO YOU KNOW WHO WE ARE THAT YOU HAVE ARREST MY CHILD?” the woman shouted into the face of the policeman.

“Ajjuma… You can’t do that in a police station. We don’t have that system anymore. If you keep bringing your rank in your society in this problem, it will be another case with the threatening. Please calm down and sit down” other old policeman who looked like a chief interrupt the conversation.

Mrs. Kang, the mother of Kang Sang Woo gave a glance to the old man and just sat beside Sang Woo.

“Sang Woo yah… Are you alright? What’s happened?” Mrs. Kang searched for the hurt on the body of Sang Woo due to her worries.

“Your son has disturbed at the resident of other people. The other parties told us to keep him in the cell just for a day. He will be released tomorrow morning if you sign here” the young police man said and gave the mother a paper to sign.

Mrs. Kang faced her eyes toward Sang Woo.

“Sang Woo yah… What is this about?”

“This is all because of you. You don’t remember?” Sang Woo talked in a cold vibe which looked exactly like the murder mental state.

“Sang Woo yah…” the mother couldn’t say a thing because it is true.

“Do you like money so much that you could sell your son’s happiness?” Sang Woo talked in a watery eyes and tears are flowing down along the face.

“Sang Woo yah… I made a mistake. So, let’s just forget it. You can start a new life with another girl you love, right? She had left already. Don’t be too obsessed to her” Mrs. Kang talked in a voice which she thinks she could calm her son.

“Omma” Sang Woo called out his mom.

“Huh? What is it? Tell me”

“How did you know that Hani left?”

“What? Umm… It’s just…”

“Excuse me. Do I have to listen you two quarrels with your family business? Please sign quickly and come back tomorrow if you want to talk to him so much”

After Sang Woo walked into the cell, he thinks of the past which had been filled with plenty of wonderful times that has been spent together with the one he loves, Lee Hani.

 

Flashback# - 4 years ago

Sang Woo was 26 years old, a director at a company called ‘Glass Heart’ which produced numerous kinds of clothes that are new brands.

In the other hand, Hani was an 18 years old university student who is majored in art. She loves drawing of anything that exist on the world but an exception of bus which is a trauma to her. When she was 12, she was hit by a big bus and after that, she can’t run or do exercise anymore.

 

The first meeting was

“Director Kang… Are the shares stable nowadays?” the guy who seemed to be in the same age as Sang Woo asked him at a hospital café.

“Stop calling me that. It’s doing fine and how is your mother’s condition? I hope she is becoming better than before”

“Yeah… She is doing find. Thanks a lot for helping me. Without you, my mother won’t be able to cure her disease”

“Why are you talking like that? We have become a family since you saved me from the car accident 6 years ago. Remember?”

“It’s like I’m taking advantage for saving you”

“Won Hyuk ah… Don’t worry about that. I’m a person with many shares. I can give you 1% of share if you want”

“Stop talking like that. I’m thankful enough to you for supporting my mother”

“I’ll be going. I have some works to finish”

“Okay… If you need something like side dishes or something, just call me. I will ask my aunt for some”

“It’s okay”

“Please call me. It will make me feel better”

Sang Woo gave a smile.

“Okay… I will”

 

Sang Woo was walking along the way back to the car parking. He saw a lake beside the hospital where patients usually relieve their stress. He takes a deep breath and explore the surrounding. Suddenly, he found a girl drawing something on the board which is supported by two pieces of wood while sitting on a wheelchair.

As he looked from behind, he saw that she’s drawing the picture of the view of the sky.

It’s look amazingly beautiful that he couldn’t stand still without giving a compliment.

“You draw very well” he approached her.

She seemed to be startled to the voice of him that she brushed her face accidently. She quickly erased the paint from her face and turned her eyes toward Sang Woo.

“Thank you” after saying these two words, she returned erasing the paint that she can’t see.

“Come here” Sang Woo grabbed her chin and faced her toward his face. He erased it while using a handkerchief that he usually takes with him. A spark happened between the two of them.

“Umm… It’s gone” Sang Woo stepped back a little and become ashamed of what happened.

“Can you send me back to my room?” Hani requested as she wanted to talk a little bit more to him.

“Of cause” Sang Woo smiled as he also wanted it.

“By the way, why are you here?” Hani asked Sang Woo as he was pushing the wheelchair which Hani was sitting.

“Just visiting a friend’s mother. And you? Is it rude to ask you?”

“It’s okay. I’m having a surgery to heal the bone of my leg. I accidently ran which made the bone of my leg cracked”

“Your bone cracked just because you ran?”

“Ah… When I was young, I was hit by a bus and after that, I couldn’t do many leg movements”

Sang Woo become protective of her, but he kept pushing the wheelchair. It wasn’t the way back to Hani’s room, but it was a trip around the hospital. Hani doesn’t say anything about it.

“Can I ask something else?”

“Of cause. Anything”

Sang Woo took a deep breath.

“Do you have a boyfriend?” After the question of Sang Woo, Hani laughed.

“Are you hitting on me?” She asked while remaining in her seat on the wheelchair.

Sang Woo was exposed, and he gave a look which will give his all.

“Do you want to have a date with me?”

He stopped the wheelchair which cause the silent between the two parties.

“Umm… I haven’t date anyone before, so I don’t think you can be satisfied with me” Hani replied in a voice which sounded like a joke.

“You haven’t date anyone?” Sang Woo becomes cheerful after hearing that. As a guy, it’s a jackpot to meet a girl who has the pure mind. He went in front of the wheelchair and sat, so Hani can see his face directly.

“I have fell in love with you as a first-sight love. Can you give me a try?”

“Umm…”

“If you answered yes, from now on you will be my everything”

“What if I said no?” Hani asked but straightly which give Sang Woo a riddle for him to solve.

“I won’t give up until you tell me to stay away from you”

Hani becomes shy after hearing the romantic words that she heard from a stranger who she just met. In the end, she nodded her head and that’s how they become one.

 

After dating for three years, Sang Woo introduced Hani to his parents.  Hani came into the house with a bunch of flowers. The house is like a kingdom and what she doesn’t know is that Sang Woo is the son of a chairperson. However, she doesn’t mind that because it doesn’t matter.

“It’s my first time meeting you. My name is Lee Hani” Hani bowed as she introduced herself to the parents of her lover.

“You looked quiet young. How old are you?” Mrs. Kang asked Hani without asking her to sit on the sofa first.

“I’m 21,” Hani replied with respect toward the elder.

“You’re not suitable for my son” without any other questions, Mrs. Kang cut out Hani’s other words.

Everyone in the place becomes froze. There were Sang Woo’s younger sister in the place and as for Mr. Kang, Sang Woo’s father was travelling on business.

“OMMA!” Sang Woo shouted toward his mom.

“You’re still a university student, right? Please go back home. And don’t be in touch with my son anymore” she spoke out what she wants and walked back into her room.

Hani just walked out of the house where Sang Woo doesn’t know who to follow. For his mom, he has to talk the problem out, but as for the other hand, Hani who upset about the previous situation.

Unsurprisingly, Sang Woo ran after Hani, and he caught up with her due to the injury on Hani’s leg.

“Hani yah… I’m sorry. I don’t know why my mom is like that, but I would like to apologize you for my mother’s behavior”

“Oppa… I was scolded by my mother numerous times after confessing that I’m dating someone who is 8 years older than me, but after being scolded by a hundred times, they approved us. But, you still haven’t told your mom?”

“It’s not like that….”

“Is it because you are ashamed of dating a young girl?” Hani cut Sang Woo conversation.

“It’s really, definitely, absolutely not like that. The timing doesn’t support me to tell my mother. And….”

“Ah… I think the timing dislike you for the past three years straightly”

“Hani yah… Please don’t be like that. After passing all of these, we can get a lovely life together with you and me” Sang Woo hugged Hani whose tears are like the watery diamond flowing down along the face.

Hani doesn’t resist the approaching of her boyfriend because what she wanted is a person who comfort her especially who she loves.

“Can’t we run away from all of this? Oppa… Let’s go to New Zealand and live there while doing some money earning jobs.” Hani said in a hurry which looked like she will go straight to there in this situation.

There’s no reply from Sang Woo.

“You don’t want to”

“Hani yah… Please be reasonable. Let’s find a way out of this”

After being comfort for a few moments, Hani became calm again and they went to the house they rented which has been a while.

 

Hani was lying down on Sang Woo's arm on the bed while watching a drama called 'Pretty Noona Who Buy Me Food'.

"Oppa... We are in different position as they are right? I wonder how this will end"

"Hani yah... They will soon get into trouble after her parents and his sister find out about them. However, they will have a happy ending and that's how the drama end. Every drama has the same plot as it. It's a relief that you don't have an uncle or a brother because I would be the same age is them" 

"You've become too old" Hani joke around Sang Woo.

"You are now with an old man" Sang Woo hugged Hani as he was hugging a cushion. 

"Oppa... We can't. I have school early in the morning. Another time" Hani pushed away Sang Woo who is trying to have more skinship than necessary.

"Uh... I have to wait again. It has been a month that we've done that. But, I will try to handle myself due to your worries"

After talking for a few hours, they fell asleep without a sound.

 

In the morning, Sang Woo woke up and tested his side to hug his lady. But she has already gone. 

"Uh... She already goes to school? So early"
