The InevitableFriends don’t text day and night, Jinyoung knew that. However, him and Jaebum continued texting and maintaining their chats on snapchat on a daily basis.
Their snaps became more suggestive, and so were the texts.
Their texts were filled with "love you"s, kissing emojis and their snaps, well, it was even worse. Jaebum would snap a selfie with the caption "I miss you" to Jinyoung even though they literally saw each other that morning, and Jinyoung would reply with an answer from his heart.
"I miss you too"
They had even started calling each other "Babu", because Jaebum spelt "Babe" wrong and they both decided to go along with it.
Jinyoung tried, he really did. But Jaebum was really hitting all his soft spots. The more he got to know Jaebum, the more his feelings developed.
And when feelings develop, possessiveness arises. And that was what Jinyoung felt towards Jaebum.
Jinyoung knew better - that chasing a bro is a no-go. Heck, he tried to control it but Jaebum is a form of temptation from the devil himself.
When he saw that he was no longer the "best friend" on Jaebum's snap, well, he snapped, to say the least.
He felt replaced, for he was no longer the “best friend” of Jaebum on a mere mobile application.
But beyond his position on snapchat, his hurt went much deeper.
He felt threatened, that his position in Jaebum’s life was not as important as he thought. He felt like an option, when he wanted to be a priority in Jaebum’s life. He felt afraid, afraid that someone would swoop Jaebum away.
