Introduction
The InevitablePark Jinyoung always knew he had a thing for boys, but he had to keep it his darkest secret. His friends were probably a homophobic bunch – he found that out when he asked them how would they react if he was gay. The reply was a straight up answer, “We will just have to ditch you then.”
That night, they laughed it off but deep inside, Jinyoung was worried. Worried that his uality may be found out, that he would lose this group of guys whom he had shared the past 4 years of high school with.
“I can’t afford to do this.”
He decided to chase a girl, in hopes that maybe, just maybe, that he’ll turn straight and fit into that group of straight boys. Who knows, maybe the whole gay thing was just a phase for him. He was confused and as a growing teenager, he may just be curious or having a mini identity crisis.
Chasing someone requires lots of texting and texting Jisoo was fun. She was easy to converse with, and the fact they were friends prior did not make things awkward. Sure, she was a good texting buddy but Jinyoung felt no spark with her. It was routine with her, “good morning”, “how was your day?” and a simple “goodnight”. He had been too chicken to even ask her out on a date because one, he has never dated anyone prior and two, he felt the date would just be more mundane and awkward than them texting.
