My Hidden Husband

Description

All Sandara Park wanted was to marry her boyfriend Lee Donghae. Minutes before exchanging marriage vows, they both find out she has been once and still is married. They hire a private investigator and find out she married a guy during a vacation many years ago. Now, all she wants is a divorce from this guy. This guy named G-Dragon.

Foreword

“We want you to contact him. To sign the divorce papers.”

Dara shot an annoyed glare at the red-headed private investigator sitting opposite her and Donghae. Her patience was wearing thin after waiting weeks and weeks for the whereabouts of her supposed husband. It didn’t help that the initial private investigator they had hired now had just send a replacement in taking their case.

“Yang Hyunsuk assured me he’d be taking a personal interest in the search of Dara’s husband.” Donghae stated matter-of-factly, he grasped Dara’s hand from underneath the table and squeezed. Dara squeezed back but his gentle reassurance didn’t calm her nerves.

Park Bom, the private investigator called herself, smiled curtly. “Yes, interest. But I’ll be doing the actual footwork. Yang Hyunsuk is taking a very personal interest, only not from up close.”

Dara sighed and eyed the bejeweled acrylic nails adorning the private investigator’s hands. The rhinestones glittered against the light and she frowned. The woman who claimed herself a private investigator looked like she belonged to a fashion magazine instead of searching for lost people. Bom was wearing a tight-fitting black dress that hugged her sand-glass frame like a glove. Her red hair hair was bright and metallic and was a stark contrast from her pale skin. The faux lashes she wore were thick as if she had a tarantula on her eyes and her legs, her legs were slender and long as it if could go on for miles.

“Ahem.” Donghae cleared his throat, gaining Dara’s attention from the private investigor’s… assets.

“What?”, Dara pouted. “I’m a girl, not blind.”

Donghae chuckled and brought her hand to his lips. There was never a boring day with Dara.

“So about Ms. Park’s husband, Kwon ‘G-Dragon’ Jiyong.” Bom continued and took a sip of her steaming coffee.

“You found something?”, Dara asked, unmistakable hope audible in her voice.

Bom grinned and clasped her hands together happily. “Even better. I found the actual human man—in Jeju.”

Dara and Donghae gasped and grasped each other’s hands. Dara briskly pulled Donghae into a tight embrace and then leaned forward towards Bom’s. The end was nigh and she and Donghae could finally get married. They'll move on and forget this horrible business. Forget she was ever married. Forget that she married a guy at a Jeju vacation many years ago.

“Well? Did you talk to him? What did he say?”

“Absolutely not.” Bom said matter-of-factly. “My instructions were to locate. That being achieved, we can now discuss contact.”

Dara sighed exasperatedly and glanced at her fiancée. He gave her an encouraging nod and Dara reeled in the anger threatening to boil over her head.

“Like I said, we want you to contact him.”, Dara gritted between her teeth. “And. Sign. The. Divorce. Papers.”

Bom curved a brow at Dara’s words. “By ‘get him’, do you mean…”

Bom looked at both them questioningly and Dara and Donghae returned it with an insisting look, urging her to finish her sentence.

“…force him to sign them?” continued the red-headed lady. Donghae decided to ignore the drop in Bom’s voice and the knowing glint in her eyes. She looked and sounded as if though she had done it before. Donghae shivered.

“If necessary, do you have a gun?”, Dara replied boldly.

Donghae rolled his eyes and held Dara's hand intimately. “Or perhaps remind him of who Dara is and ask him politely.”

Dara sputtered and downed her remaining espresso. If Dara didn’t know better, she would believe Donghae was angel incarnate. Or Canadian.

Bom smiled devilishly, her blood-red plump lips curling. “Your wish is my command.”
