"Hey Taeng!"

Taeyeon does not even bat an eye while focusely playing her favorite video game. Her fingers are furiously tapping the game controller, obviously not giving a single damn about what was her cousin's blabbering about.

 

"Taeng. You've got to be kidding me! You need to hear this! Come on!" Yuri whine, poking Taeyeon's wrist multiple times

 

Taeyeon being annoyed on the other hand raises one of her eyebrow, clearly not liking every little s her cousins doing right now. She hates it when someone's bothering her while playing her precious thing.

 

"Stop"

 

"No you stop that"

 

"Yuri-"

 

"Come on! You're gonna like this!"

 

"..."

 

"It's a GOOD news!!"

 

"If I didn't manage to kill this 'tank guy' I'm going to throw punches on you and you're not gonna like it, my dear cousin" Taeyeon hissed under her breathe, glaring at the character from the latest 'left 4 dead' video game called tank, imagining it was her cousin she's throwing a grenade at.

 

"It's about---"

 

"DAMN IT! I FAILED TO SAVE COUCH! Darn this tank hoe! You !" Taeyeon jump up and curse out loud, ready to flip everything she sees on the way.

 

"HEY CALM YO WIG!"

 

“What wig?! And It better be a REAL good news coz imma flip you out my window for real!" Taeyeon glared at her cousin like she's ready to skin her alive

 

"Fine fine! You just need to calm down and hear me out. Yeah? " Yuri stated excitedly

 

"Spill" Taeyeon rolled her eyes

 

"When I’m on my way here. I spotted this living thing walking just beside your condo unit's door."

 

"..."

 

"There's a new living creature next to your condo taeng!"

"She's going to be your neighbor!"

'Just can Yuri get any weirder?' Taeyeon thought.

 

"Taeng?"

 

"O-K. So now tell me is she any kind of an alien or something? Coz I don't want to waste my time hearing your homemade s!!!" Taeyeon nearly threw her game controller to her cousin's stupid grinning face.

 

"HEY" Yuri stopped her wrist quickly before it damage her so called precious asset.

 

"IT’S A HOTTIE!!"

 

"WHAT?!"

 

"She's a HOTTIE!" Yuri said.

 

"She has this perfect S body line and she's absolutely a head turner! Man! I almost broke my neck trying to have a glimpse of her---"

 

"I don't want to hear your ert thoughts! I want you to point it out!"

“Wait.” Taeyeon blink “Are you gay?”

 

“Taeng! For Pete’s sake! Are you seriously asking me that?” Yuri groaned in annoyance. How can Taeyeon asked her that when they both know they’re gay as .

 

“Sorry sorry. I’m just kidding. Please continue”

 

“Taeng. For the nth time. She’s really really pretty” Yuri stated with a twinkle in her eyes.

 

Taeyeon raises a brow

 

"And you like playing games."

 

"..."

 

Taeyeon could still not process where this conversation’s going.

 

"I want you to play a matching game!"

 

"Wait what?”

 

“Play as a match maker”

 

“Wait! Slow down! I don’t get it." Taeyeon frown

 

"Come on! I thought you're smarter than this?" Yuri clasp her hands together, giving her ‘cute’ puppy eyes that Taeyeon ‘like’ so much. Taeyeon nearly kick her on the face but is stopping herself from doing so. "Help me. I couldn't just show up to her and say 'hey I like you, can you be my girlfriend?' as simple as that. I need you taeng! Make friends with her, know what she likes and what not then I’ll do the rest come on!"

 

Taeyeon stare at her cousin like she just heard the most ridiculous ever and ended up rolling her eyes.

 

“How is this a good news? Are you kidding me?! You’re the only one who’s liking it!”

 

“But Taeng! You have to help me! I thought you like playing games? You’re going to play as a match maker”

 

Taeyeon look at her cousin ridiculously.

 

“On screen Yul! On screen! I like playing on screen with a controller!”

 

“Come on Taeng! Don’t be a kill joy! I thought you like this kind of stuff?” Yuri pouted

 

“What am I? A five years old kid?”

 

“Well, You liked gummy bears and wormies. Is there a difference?” Yuri shrugged

 

“Hey don’t even bring them out. They’re innocent.” Taeyeon shot her a look saying ‘Don’t even start’ as she shake her head.

 

"Weirdo”

 

"YAH! Why don't you do it yourself?"

 

"Oh come on! You know I’m bad at it!!"

 

Yuri might have a look, body and all. But mind telling you. She’s coward af. She once confessed to her grade 6th crush but before she could even finish the three words ‘I-LIKE-YOU’. She started hyperventilating and she ended up collapsing at the ground like a dying fish. Thanks to Taeyeon the ‘Hero’. She was the one who dragged Yuri away from the ground and embarrassment.

 

“Am I even good at that?" Taeyeon look at her ridiculously.

 

"Come on Taeng! At least you're not as awkward as me. Please" She pleaded. “You don’t like to ever see me again losing my consciousness. Do you?”

 

“Yeah. But it’s not like you’re confessing to her or something. You just want to be-friend her right? Then why don’t you do it?” Taeyeon suggested . “Then confess to her at the end after you feel comfortable around her” Taeyeon added.

 

Yuri almost give in but she remember the embarrassing event back then and she will do anything to prevent it to happen

 

“Come on. You’re an expert when it comes to this. You’ve made me be-friend Nana and we even ended up together” Yuri pleaded.

 

“But unfortunately, You’re caught red handed as you cheated on her because you’re a player in disguise”

 

“Hey! It’s a misunderstanding! She broke up with me without even hearing me out” Yuri pouted

 

Taeyeon sigh. Ignoring Yuri’s rant. "And what makes you think that I will help you again?" She shake her head.

 

"Coz I’m your cousin"

 

“Seriously?”

 

“And I am Yurisistable” Yuri grin

 

"Wrong. You're a pain in the " Taeyeon look at her, disgusted. Before sitting back to her beloved couch and setting the game back to press 'restart'.

 

"Come on Taeng"

 

"Na ah"

 

"TAENG! COME ON! You should go and see her! I'm not lying to you! She's very HOT"

 

"And you only want to get to her pants" Taeyeon said, eyes focus on the screen like it's the most interesting thing on earth.

 

"I'll go get the latest 'call on duty' video game!" Taeyeon stop on her track like finally she heard the most sane thing from her cousin's mouth at the moment.

 

"..."

 

"And 'The sims' latest edition." Yuri offered, trying hard to persuade the midget

 

"And the latest 'counter strike' thing"

 

An awkward minute passed by and a miracle finally happens. Much to Yuri’s happiness Taeyeon's eyes sparkle like a star in the sky and she immediately hug her cousin like a koala.

 

Yuri could see it and immediately added

 

"BUT you will only get those games of yours after you learn all she likes and what not? Deal?"

 

"WHAAAAT?"

 

"What? It's a big offer! 3 video games for a 1 friend. Fair deal huh?" She wriggle her eyebrows playfully

 

“…”

 

“Deal?”

 

"Fine"

 

"So?" Another stupid grin from the happy ‘charcoal’ alive.

 

"You know what? That's the best thing that ever come to your mouth!" Taeyeon sigh in happiness. "Now spill the beans and let's make this quick! I want my games so bad"

"Thank you so much for making this salad Taeng" Yuri cheered like a happy kid, looking at the good-looking vegetables and fruits decorated by non-other than Kim Taeyeon. "But why is there a lot of cucumber?"

 

"Yeah yeah now go away"

 

"Huh? But you're supposed to give it to her" Yuri stated as a matter of fact.

 

"Say what?"

 

"Give it to her Taeng please"

 

"WHAT? But--"

 

"I promise to buy the 'counter strike' thing later please"

 

"No problem!!" Taeng immediately grab the box and made her way through the door.

 

"Don't forget to smile Taeng!" Taeyeon could only roll her eyes.

 

"I will be waiting here patiently! Hwaiting!"

 

"This coward" She whispered

Taeyeon is now standing outside the said condo unit where her cousin saw the 'HOTTIE' she's crying about.

 

"Knock on the damn door, give the food and off” Taeyeon muttered, encouraging herself.

 

" this” She couldn't help but curse. Coz come on! She hates talking to human being but thinking about those video games effectively made her braver than anyone else.

 

*KNOCK KNOCK*

 

Taeyeon prayed silently to get a hold of herself coz she doesn't want to be seen rolling her eyes to let her neighbor know that she's uninterested as .

 

After waiting for like 5 minutes.

 

Taeyeon could hear a creak sound from the door. She doesn't want to look up but she has to show some manners.

 

Just how will she end up be-friending with her if she will keep showing her resting face on. And with that, yup she has to wear a smile. At least, a fake one.

 

"Yes?"

 

Instead of showing a friendly smile like a normal friendly girl would do, she look up from the ground and gave her most stiffen awkward smile and she's sure as hell that she's creeping the girl out she's facing right now.

 

Eyes meets another eyes

 

They're having a staring battle and Taeyeon couldn't help but admire the living creature (according to Yuri) in front of her.

 

She's wearing a white V-neck shirt, a short short. She's also got a messy-blonde hair which made her look classier. Her eyes narrowing at her.

 

She could tell that she just woke up from the deep slumber coz that explained the slightly swollen eyes and that frown on her face but despite that. Yuri is indeed telling the truth coz this girl is smoking hot!

 

Taeyeon would totally have a crush on her if only she's not her cousin’s type.

 

"H-hey." Taeyeon manage to say.

 

The girl could only shot her a 'what do you want' look

 

"I just came here to give you this" Taeyeon handed the box full of salad.

 

Taeyeon awkwardly shot her a 'smile', if it was still considered as one coz she is sure smiling like a lizard right now

 

"Uh thanks" The girl muttered flatly, reaching for the box.

 

If Taeyeon sometimes has a y face on, then this girl sure has an ‘I-am-ier’ look displayed on her goddamn flawless white face

 

Taeyeon tried to show a genuine smile and extended her hand

 

"I'm Taeyeon." She introduced

 

The girl could only stare at the hand being extended coldly.

 

"Jess" The girl named Jess whispered, before muttering another 'thanks' and slamming the door shut.

 

Taeyeon stared at the door in disbelief. Couldn't believe that someone could still have a guts to shut her off effortlessly like that

 

"Je-what?"

 

Taeyeon glared at the door before turning around ready to leave the spot owned by a rude slash weird slash hottie owner named Je--what

"So did you get her name yet?" Yuri excitedly ask as soon as she heard a heavy footsteps stamping like a horse and yes it was Taeyeon entering the condo.

 

"Her name is JE- and she's rude af"

 

"Jes what? Why do you sound so unsure? And what rude? Don't tell me you didn't even smile and just randomly offered her a food?" Yuri accused her with wide eyes

 

"Hey FYI, I am smiling like a retard and I even asked her name calmly but she replied like she has a marble on ! I am offering a handshake kindly but she only stared at me like I have cancer and ! I couldn't even understand her name!!! And she just randomly slammed the door on my face after telling so!" Taeyeon frustratingly yelled, she felt like her dignity just got dumped by an ice water called JES

 

"Don't over react and tell me honestly what happened"

 

"I ain't telling anything to you coz you're going to leave my condo now and I need my beauty rest!" Taeyeon push her cousin like a piece of crap and made her out of her sight

 

 

"Jes my ! I don't care anymore" she muttered

 

*BANG BANG BANG*

 

"YAH! Open this door taeng!!!" Yuri is continuously screaming outside.

 

Taeyeon skip her way to her bedroom and slam the door shut.

 

No way she will let her inside coz she ain't giving a anymore.

Taeyeon open her eyes, slowly adjusting her vision from the surroundings

Taeyeon irritatingly glare at the door wishing it was Yuri coz hell. It's only been like 2hours since she fell asleep and her cousin wouldn't just leave her alone.

 

*BANG BANG BANG*

 

“Oh God”

 

Taeyeon groan and groggily walk her way to the door.

 

"Are you freakin' trying to break my door?! I swear to God I’m going to kill you---" Taeyeon shouted like a maniac and before she even realize it.

 

She was met by a sharp cold glare on the door way and she's sure as that those tantalizing yet intimidating eyes does not belong to Yuri.

 

Taeyeon’s eyes were as big as marble, she couldn’t believe that the girl who disrespect her by slamming the door on her face just an hour or two ago is now right here, at the moment, standing on her condo unit, and worst! She’s now rudely staring or rather glaring at her like she’s lasering her alive

 

She darted her eyes to the thing this girl is holding coz she’s holding onto it like it was a stress ball and she realize that it was the box of salad she had given to her 2 hours ago.

 

‘Why is she gripping on it like a mad wrestler?’ Taeyeon gulp at the thought.

 

She look up again and could see how angry she has gotten than before and she gulp at the cold glare being thrown at her with those blank, icy glare.

 

She’s almost sure that her eyes could freeze a flying and it’s slowly affecting her like a hoe.

 

“You…” Even her voice sounded dangerously low, like a fresh bunch of ice from the refrigerator, it sounded cold as and it made Taeyeon shiver in fear that even the hair on her neck all saluted like a .

 

Just why the heck does she sound like she’s ready to swallow her alive.

 

And yes, It's non-other than

 

"Je-Jes?"

 

Oops. Kim Taeyeon just stupidly say that out loud.
