WRITE WITHOUT EDITING
Writing for Newbies : Fanfic Writing Made EasyThere are times when your story just comes to life after you have thought about it a lot. It takes over and you just write it out, like a possessed typist. But this isn't the case all the time. Some people need to plan their story. This chapter is not for those people.
If you are familiar with NANOWRIMO it's this writing challenge for the whole duration of November where you just write and write and not edit. You have to write 50,000 words in 30 days. I have been challenging this but I haven't "won" yet since I get really busy in November and I am not the kind to cheat a challenge.
For this exercise, you are not allowed to edit. You just type and type and type.
You can write only the dialogues or you can write just the narration parts. Some more experienced people can write both at the same time, letting all the ideas come out naturally.
Why can't I edit?
It's almost like you are letting one trail of thought come out. And you check if you are able to make sense afterwards.
Am I going to come out with something useful?
There is a 10% chance of you coming up with something perfect as it is. The 90% is going to be be crap.
Why would I do something that would just waste my time?
Because you need to practice in order to improve. There would be glaring mistakes and you can learn from those too. It's useful to keep this kind of story and chapter on Hide Chapter.
Do not publish unfinished, unedi
