The first and last time that they said goodbye to each other was different than the first and last time they did anything else as a couple. There was a moment where they did something for the first time, but there was also a moment where they did the same thing for the last time.

The moment in which they said goodbye to each other was the first and last time.

Saying goodbye was so final. It implied that you wouldn’t see the other again. It implied that you wouldn’t be interacting with the other again. It implied that the relationship you once had with the other will never be the same again.

Since the day they met, Yongguk and Seungah had never said ‘goodbye’ to one another. It wasn’t needed. They knew they would see each other soon, and that they would talk to each other soon. It was always “see you later,” or “talk to you later,” or just a plain “bye” accompanied with a smile and a wave. It was full of loving glances and slight touches. Sometimes it was after a breathless kiss. Other times it was at the end of a late night phone call.

It never occurred to either of them that they never said goodbye. It was a word that they never bothered to use because it was something that didn’t need to be said.

Until it was finally time for them to separate and go live their lives like they were before they met.

Of course the two were totally different people by that point, what with the other influencing them in ways they didn’t fully realize.

The worst part was that their goodbye wasn’t even in person.

Neither of them could face each other after what had happened.
They were both aware that they were being selfish, but they both thought it was for the best.

Yongguk was walking down the hallway with Himchan, dragging his luggage behind him silently while Himchan nervously chattered on about something. Yongguk knew Himchan was just trying to make Yongguk feel better, and he appreciated that, but honestly Yongguk just wanted to be alone.

He wanted to lock himself away and just write out his feelings.

They both got into the elevator, and one look at Yongguk’s blank face made Himchan stutter before quieting down.

“I’m sorry, Yongguk,” Himcha

Chapter 4: No happy things here. They were right, they didn't do anything for themselves and let little things affect their relationship so much.

Chapter 3: Every chapter has the same structure so far, the first part remembers the good parts of their relationship, while the second one speaks about the faults within it. I like how it's organized.
It is getting sadder though.

Chapter 4: Well damn. *sobs*

When they were having their last argument I couldn't even take sides because both of them made some really good points. I like how you wrote the end of their relationship as a couple that just didn't work out. Not every relationship ends because one of them did something to betray the other and that is not portrayed enough in fics.
