Several minutes passed and only the sound of harsh breathing could be heard in the room. Sehun clenched and unclenched his fists, willing himself to calm down so as not to scare Luhan.

"I'd better bring you to the hospital to check for internal injuries."

"No, please, I...no..." 

There was panic in Luhan's voice and a frantic look in his eyes as he pleaded with Sehun. 

"Ssshh, ssshhh, it's okay, it's okay."

He gently wrapped his arms around a now shivering Luhan who seemed so small and fragile. It hurts Sehun to see the man so broken and scared; his large caramel eyes b with tears. 

"I'm going to call my friend. He's a doctor and you can trust him. I'm worried about you and if you don't want to go to a hospital, at least have him examine your injuries. I'll be right here with you, I promise."

A little while later, he felt the weight of Luhan's head on his shoulder as he fell asleep still wrapped in Sehun's warm embrace. A fierce sense of protectiveness came over him and he knows that no matter what he finds out, he's never letting go of Luhan. 

A soft knock brought him out of his reverie and he reluctantly left the room but not before pressing a soft kiss on Luhan's forehead. 

"I reviewed the CCTV footage. Someone's definitely after him. Two heavily disguised men came running in the alley just a few minutes after you took him inside. Don't worry, I checked all the cameras around the perimeter and I'm sure nobody saw you," Kai, head of the club's security, reported.

"Do you think it's gone wrong? He's obviously been restrained based on the bruises on his wrists and ankles," club manager, Baekhyun said, earning a death glare from Sehun.

"I ran a background check and nothing suspicious came up. He's in graduate school and works part-time in a coffee shop. No criminal record, no arrests, not even a parking ticket. His dad died when he was young and his mom recently passed. He's currently living with his unemployed uncle. I'm running a background check on him later." 

"One more thing, and this is the most crucial information so listen carefully," Kai added.

Sehun tensed upon hearing those words. He suddenly felt nervous. 

"He's single."

A fit of coughing and laugther filled the room as Sehun choked on the beer he was drinking. 

It wasn't long before the doctor arrived. Junmyeon immediately went right down to business and asked about the patient without bothering to greet his friends. However, he couldn't hide his surprise when he saw how Sehun cared for the man lying on the bed. His eyes met Baekhyun's and Kai's and the three friends shared the same worried look on their faces.

Sehun is in deep , whether he knows it or not. He seems to have fallen for Luhan in an inordinately short amount of time and given the state Luhan is in right now, it can only mean trouble.
