Namjoon had been walking around the park for the past hour deep in his thoughts. He was frustrated, thinking of ways to convince his parents that following his dream is not stupid. That music is not just some phase he would get over with time. He has known since his early teenage years that this dream, that music, is something he wanted to pursue. Yet he was afraid to admit to his parents that he did not want to follow the path they had planned for him. Namjoon was simply afraid of disappointing his parents and being told that he would just throw away his gifted intelligence.   

Despite the fear of disappointing his parents, he decided that this was his life. A life he did not want to dedicate working long hours in an office cubicle. So he gathered up his courage and told his parents his plans to switch majors and pursue the one thing he knew would make him happy, music.

Just remembering the fought that ensued shortly afterwards made him bitterly chuckle.

“Dammit. Dammit it all. Why can’t they just accept the fact that I want to do music?” he whispered to himself.

Looking up at the sky all Namjoon felt was a lone star. That is how he felt lonely and isolated in this world. At first the loneliness he felt made him upset, which soon turned into anger.

Looking at the tree next to him, in anger, he punched it. Another punch followed the first till the point that he kept on punching the poor tree in hopes of releasing his anger and frustration that the walk could not dissolve.

Not realizing that his punches were getting a little too reckless, a little too rough, Namjoon did not notice the already drooping tree branch. And with one last punch, the tree branch fell knocking him out.
