“Hi, Jonghyun from SHINee here...”

An Important Message

Hi, Jonghyun from SHINee here, and today I just want to talk about something that's been bothering me for years.

Now, I know that some of you may have heard of my support for the LGBT community and for gay, biual and transgender people, but please, don't try and criticize me for it.

Over the past four years (I think), I was being cyberbullied for my support for the LGBT community. At the time, I had also changed my Twitter profile picture to express my utmost support for a biual transgender student.

And my opinions were not well-received by a right-wing site called the ILBE Storage, as members of that site started posting humiliating comments targeted directly to me, saying something about "Jonghyun is supporting ual minorities" or whatever.

I also had word from Dramafever.com that some members of the site had joined our fan club website and were posting obscene pictures of women's bodies along with captions designed to humiliate me.

So, please, don't do that to me, don't post humiliating comments about me, just, please don't, seriously. It's very disrespectful and it wastes people's time and disrupts their business, and it's very impolite to do that, so, please don't.

And if you don't stop humiliating me, I will find you.

I'LL FIND YOU. I'LL TRACK YOU DOWN.

Chapter 1: <span class='smalltext text--lighter'>Comment on <a href='/story/view/1310661/1'>“Hi, Jonghyun from SHINee...</a></span>
This would’ve been a meaningful post he could’ve made to try to shut out those discouraging, destructive voices. “Finding and tracking them down” is a strong impression of a comeback for them to take him seriously by warning them that he’d take action if the cyberbullying further continues. Jonghyun expressing his support for the LGBTQ community is a good thing, which resonates with his heart of pure love for people regardless of their uality or ual preference. If he hadn’t given up on life and kept fighting to save himself, Jonghyun would’ve still been alive. In addition, loneliness contributes to suicidal thoughts, which is a problem when he didn’t reach out to any of his fellow SHINee teammates, close friends or loved ones for emotional support. Jonghyun’s case is important in easing awareness about taking good care of one’s mental health, a major priority that’s crucial to overall wellness.

Jonghyun actually committed suicide due to his unresolved problem with depression where even a Korean doctor wasn’t of any help in getting him the needed support for his mental health. He felt that he wasn’t good enough or couldn’t amount to anything great when he’s stuck in this negative mindset. However, this sounds like it’ll be a nicely reflective piece in commemoration of his passing.

Jonghyun didnt commit suicide only because of what people had said about him online. It was so many other reasons, such as his music, and feeling like he was lacking in it even though he loved it. Feeling lonely, and like nobody can understand. Yes, fame was part of it, but that wasnt the sole reason. I just wanted to say that
