Yerin still remember what she saw on that phone. SinB and her promise not check on each other’s phone. But as if fate was playing with her, SinB was in the bathroom and she was waiting in their room while reading the Romeo and Juliet book that Joy gave her. The sounds of message in a phone got her attention, SinB and her are both using the iPhone, and have the same message tone notification. With the thought that it was for her she looks over the night stand, and there in SinB’s phone was a message from her another lover.

Mom was asking about the girl that I am dating for a while.

I think it is the right time to introduce you to her.

Yerin feel her soul left her body that night. She feels like cheated, and she don’t know if she was allowed to feel that way. She promises herself that she will never get tired of SinB, of this set up that the three of them are stuck with. She doesn’t know what to do. Is it the right time to finally stand up and do what is right and supposed to be hers? Yerin closed her eyes as she tried to calm herself that night. Then SinB came out from the bathroom smiling at her.

Yerin doesn’t know if she need to smile back or what? All she knows is that she closed the book, lie down. She covers herself with the duvet to ease the coldness of the room, the coldness in her heart, and the coldness of her own feelings. She told SinB that she got a message. “Your boyfriend messaged you. I’m sleeping now, Goodnight.” That was so cold, and she knows that.

“What was occupying your head?” Yerin smile as she saw Joy sat beside her. She’s been waiting in the bar for 15 minutes. It was weekend, it means SinB won’t be home. She went straight here from work to have some alcohol in her system that night help her wake up from reality. “It seems you’ve been playing with that rum for a while now.” Yerin look at the glass of rum in her hand, and she laugh agreeing with the statement of her friend.

“Yeah, anyway I just want to drink for old times sake.” Yerin smile. Joy nodded, and she called the bartender to order some vodka for herself. “Want to know something?” Joy asked, and Yerin see how happy Joy tonight. Her eyes tell it all. “Spill Sooyoung.” Yerin tease, and Joy laughed. She played with the vodka in the glass and a smile was visible in her soft lips.

“I think Seulgi likes me?” Yerin eyes widen, and she laugh. Not a fake one, but a real one. Joy knows that laugh, she just let Yerin be happy. “Isn’t that too confidence coming from almighty Sooyoung again?” Yerin added trying to piss off her best friend even she knows that won’t happen. “That’s fact, and not a confidence. I am good in reading subtle hints. And our date the last time screams jealousy.” Yerin was impressed. Joy was good in her own way, smooth. Girls and boys would fall for her. She wonders why she can’t be like Joy. Someone that everybody wants a piece of, compare to her who is just waiting for someone’s left over.

“Don’t tell me it is another game you are trying t play to impress your ego and me?” Yerin drink her rum, and order for another. Joy did the same, and order tequila this time instead of vodka. “Who says I am playing this time? I am serious.” Joy smile. “More than you are with Yerin?” Joy frown, that name still have the effect on her how about when she sees her? Since their break up, they never cross path again. “Yerim maybe happy now with Saeron. She chooses to leave for another. I mean if you really love the one you are with now why look for another? For fun? Crazy, only will do that. I don’t think Yerim is one. It’s just she fell out of love from me.” Joy ended her little speech with the shot of her drink.

Yerin suddenly think of her situation because of what Joy just said. “You still love her, don’t you?” Yerin asked. Joy smile and she nodded, she won’t deny it. “So why are you saying you won’t play with Seulgi’s heart? Isn’t that unfair? Your loving another when you still have someone you love?” That statement was like a dual-purpose question, or a question rather given to Joy when supposed to be it was SinB she should ask.   

“I don’t think so that was unfair. Yerim is first love, of course the feeling will remain, but my feelings for Seulgi was stronger that I know that she will be the one I will choose in any circumstances even Yerim came back if that is possible.” Yerin understands what was Joy was trying to say. “H
