Prologue

It was a quiet night in the Lee household; Lee Donghae was fast asleep on his mother's lap, the only sound was coming from the television that is until a ring was heard.

Who could that be? Mrs. Lee thought. She opened the door and was greeted by a gush of wind.

"Who's there?" she called, but only the sound of wind whirling through the night air was heard. Just before closing the door babyb wails were in heard in the night air. Looking towards the sound, Mrs. Lee saw a little baby girl in a basket wrapped in a blanket with a pile of pink clothes placed neatly around her. Seeing it was a cold night out she decided to bring the baby in.

"What's that?" Mr. Lee asked his wife.

"It's a baby, somebody left her at our doorstep." Mrs. Lee explained.

"What are we going to do with her?" Mr. Lee questioned.

"We'll bring her to the orphanage tomorrow morning." Mrs. Lee decided.

The next morning Mr. and Mrs. Lee arrived at the local orphanage. They walked up to the large, dull building entering and walking to the reception desk.

"Excuse me." The old woman behind the desk looked up at the sound of Mrs. Lee's voice.

"Hello, how may I help you?" The old woman asked.

"We found this baby girl at our doorstep last night and we would like to put her in this orphanage." Mr. Lee explained.

"Alright, here are some forms you can fill out." The old woman took out a pile of stacked papers from her side drawers. 

 "If you want, you can keep the little girl." The old woman suggested, stopping both movements from Mr. and Mrs. Lee.

"Honey, what do you think?" Mr. Lee asked his wife.

"I have always wanted a daughter." Mrs. Lee reasoned with a smile.

"Okay, it's settled then, we'll take her." Mr. Lee decided.

"Very well after finishing that form, I will give you the adoption papers." After everything was filled out, both Mr. and Mrs. Lee came out with big smiles on their faces. When both had entered the car, Mrs. Lee smiled at the baby girl and said, 

"Welcome to the family, Lee Eun-min."
