"hah, what if he ends up in the same class as jinyoung again next year?" guanlin laughs, and woojin agrees. jinyoung chuckles before proceeding to sip on his strawberry milk. it's at that moment when daehwi registers that jinyoung has nice lips.

at that moment, seonho, guanlin's best friend, plops down casually next to him before grabbing something from everybody's plate. woojin slaps him while guanlin smacks him in the stomach.
"hi everyone! ow, fuc-"

"even if jinyoung's in the same class as you, you need to take baby steps okay?" jihoon nags, and daehwi hits his arm playfully.

"daehwi! hi!" seonho cheerfully greets, and said boy waves at him with a small smile.
"why don't you talk, though? i'm sure your voice is nice." guanlin hurriedly slaps his thigh, muttering something about seonho being too insensitive.
daehwi just shrugs in response.

2 weeks pass, and jinyoung ends up swapping seats with samuel. mr kang said it had to do with samuel talking to daehwi too much during lessons.

ms cha comes in for lesson again. the class doesn't see the correlation between mathematics and her ex-husband leaving her.
just like everyone else in class, (well maybe except for kenta, the only one listening attentively to her divorce story) jinyoung is extremely bored.

"seriously... what does her love life have to do with us?" jinyoung leans in to whisper to daehwi.

daehwi grabs a post-it note.

"kenta cares," jinyoung laughs and smiles.

daehwi begins to draw lines on the paper, and jinyoung raises an eyebrow.

a few scribbles later, jinyoung sighs. he watches daehwi’s lips curve up into a smile.

so when jinyoung begins to poke at his sides to take revenge, the boy can’t help but erupt into a soft giggle.
jinyoung swears that daehwi’s laughter is his favourite sound.
