Another shot she had said and when she finally gained enough courage to approach the said girl she wasn't there anymore. Mina looked in every direction but she found nothing. Desperate she quickly turned around only to bump into someone no other than the one she was looking for "Hey" she heard "you seem so lost I couldn't help to check if you were ok"

"Yes" she had said but no, she really wasn't ok, she hasn't been ok since that day. A short pause became long and awkward

"I'm sorry. I'll take my leave now" Tzuyu bowed then turned to leave

*"Wait"* another word dies inside Mina's mouth

"By the way you look beautiful tonight" the younger came close again, intimately closer this time laying a whisper in the other girl's ear "I mean... Not just tonight... You're always beautiful" Mina didn't even have the time to blush when Tzuyu started to rant, and oh how she missed the younger girl's ranting.

The older girl smiled but only got a sad smile and a walk away in return. She felt stupid and guilty and mad at herself.

She saw her first and everlasting love cross the exit door, her brain didn't allow her to move, she fought against it, without noticing that she won she found herself running outside "that's it!" She shouted at a lost for air

"What do you mean?" Tzuyu said without turning back

"You can't just say something nice and then leave me there standing" she didn't mean that though because she knew Tzuyu's reasons very well

"You know I'll never do that Mina" it was the first time she heard Tzuyu calls her by her name and it felt so cold it took her aback "I told you I'll never leave you until you ask me to... And you did. Don't you remember?"

**"I can't keep seeing you like this Tzuyu I'm sorry"** those were her words, words that shattered Tzuyu's heart into millions of pieces

**"I know I said I wouldn't argue with you when this moment came, but why"** the younger tried to find a reasonable excuse for Mina because she remembers hearing somewhere that the pain a brake up leaves on you would be less if you know it wasn't because of your mistake **"I love you and I thought you loved me too"** she tried her best not to cry, she hates how people can easily manipulate others with such a simple action

**"I do love you... As a friend"** that was the worldwide number one worst combination of words in these cases

The tall girl stood there thinking *friends? What kind of friend makes you believe that they love you when they don't?* *What kind of friend kisses you on the lips and lies about floating in the air while doing so* *what kind of friend brakes your heart just because they want to* all those thoughts flashed through her mind threatening to escape from but she loves the other girl so much she wouldn't forgive herself for hurting her **"it's okay"** she had said instead **"I understand"** That was it, no discussions, no crying, no begging. It was almost a mutual agreement

Maybe Tzuyu had lied at that time, she didn't understand back then but she does now. It's not Mina's fault, it's not hers either. What can you do when all your life people around you have told you that you should find a nice guy, marry him and have children. What can you do when they've always told you that it's so wrong to love a person from the same gender, that you'll go to hell for it. No one in their seventeen wants to go there. Not even when living without the person you love the most feels like it

It was hard for Mina to fight against all that crap. For Tzuyu though it was quite different, even though she grew up hearing the same bull she knew that it was her own life and hers only. That all the dessitions she makes will only affect herself. That only she will have to deal with her own regrets in the future

"Go find your prince charming. I'll wait in the car. I still have to drive you home"

One more time Mina wanted to say things she ended up saving for herself. Even though Tzuyu knew how much Mina was struggling, she too knew what was better for the girl. She gave the best smile she managed to give, fighting the urge to go there and hug the girl as if it was the last time she could do so.

As soon as Mina stepped a foot on the dancefloor a very handsome boy took her by surprise "let's dance" he said while snaking his arm around Mina's waist. The girl was so shocked by his confident tone and y smile, she just managed to nod

"I'm Jimin" he showed his pretty smile again "I know who you are. I just don't understand why would you want to dance with me" 
Why would a guy like him even look at her she wondered because she knows who he is and she surely knows who she herself is.
She wasn't a popular girl, she wasn't into sports either nor she was one of the school pretty girls, she wasn't even in the top ten and her grades weren't the greatest "Well, you have quite a long name" the boy chuckled making Mina smile "No, I'm Mina" 

They continued dancing and chatting for a while, smiling and laughing from time to time not noticing the hurtful eyes that were set on them "At least he's making her smile" a tall girl murmured to no one in particular then made her way back to the car where she had cryed her heart out so many times for the exact same reason or for the exact same person to be more specific. There she wished that Mina would think of her, she wished that the older girl would come to her saying that she chooses to be together with her no matter what. And at the same time she felt so dumb for thinking like that and for wishing something so impossible

When the dance ended and everyone was sent back home Mina found Tzuyu soundly asleep in the car. She didn't have the heart to wake the girl up so she quietly entered the car and drifted to wonderland as well. There they found each other and held onto each other on a world without hurt and without prejudice.
