[Drabble] Rainsound [Ahn Eunjin X Lee Jueun]

Somebody said about listening to the grating roar of pebbles which the waves draw back and fling. Some also heard with their heart, of the creatures under the sea. Or the echoed from the furthest mountains, sounds of the lively wind maybe blowing.

What about the rain sound? What do you think?

The forgotten rain was tapping outside the window.

Said the others, the fallen rain hitting the ground was the tears coming from the sky.

-- Rainy season is always slushy.

She grabbed her crook handle tightly, shook the droplets off and open it. Ahn Eunjin raised her umbrella up to cover herself from pouring rain or any suspicious water from the drainpipes above her head. She stepped her feet out of the corner to the soaking avenue.

Rain sound was so hard, hardly heard of anything.

 

Monsoon is coming through the night. Eunjin slowly frowning while walking along the slimy street. Her socks maybe all wet. She took her yellow mustard-like suit off and placed on her shoulder. Let the droplets from the sky seeping through the white shirt. She felt a bit weird when closing the umbrella and putting it safely in her bag. Today was a good day to get soaked.

'Eunjin-ah. Do you really know how to use the umbrella? That doesn't help . Unni's left side is going to be burned.'

'....Then why you ask me to do. Why don't do it yourself?'

Beautiful smile on the beautiful face has destroyed all stupid thoughts against her out of Eunjin's head.

Is this the sound that calls to me, your voice?

Eunjin used to think, what were people walking in the rain while there was a thunderstorm thinking about. 

It was like asking herself now.

Does the rain help her to fell better? Could these water clearing people's tired heart? 

Or they only made those loser soaking and shaking.

The girl looked up into the sky and felt of small droplets fallen on her face. They were running down the cheeks as the gravity's work. How can the rain know what one would feel?

Let's try changing the question.

Do you know how I feel? Do you know how I miss you like crazy?

Today if there were an umbrella and you, I would give  it to you without thinking.

Tolerating the cold pouring rain only if there were you by my side.

--Eunjin wanted this day to be April's fool day.

The girl woke up early, cleared up her bed and checked over her roommate to be sure that she was sleeping. She rushed out to the kitchen.

But today was not April's fool day.

7 June.

"Everybody please listen up. Lovely Jueun has something to tell you all!!!"

Your voice hurts me more than the sharpest knife scraping on my heart.

Eunjin was holding the birthday cake. The girl volunteered to do this job since 2 weeks ago. She asked Somyi and Eunchae firmly to buy her another one.

Forming a top for a cake with her own feeling.

Dear sky, please help stop the rain.

"From now on, I'm going to out with Chayeonni"

The others yelled out happily. Even Eunjin also ran to Jueun and Chayeon with another cake which already made the top of it. All smiled and sang happy birthday song.

I can't live without you.

"What?? Why do you buy me a cake? Wanna made me a lil pig, are you?"

After Jueun birthday's party, She was surprised when Eunjin brought her a topless cake.

"Delicious, I can confirm. So I bought you. It's just across the station there."

"Ahhh not now. Could you please put it in the refrigerator."

"OK anyway please eat it. I really want Jueun Unni to taste it."

Lee Jueun stared at Eunjin's face.

"Do you have something in your mind? You can tell your unni, you know.

One smile from one girl can purify one heart. Can't ever think of it before.

Eunjin Smile too, tiredly.

"Thanks Jueun Unni"

Thanks my beloved sister.
