She tried---yes, she literally tried everything to give Lu Han a clue. Lu Han is an idiot when it comes to guessing and she shouldn't bother with giving clues here and there, leaving them scattering around and wait for him to pick up each clues and put them together like a puzzle. Yes, she is desperate to tell him straightforwardly, but somehow she couldn't even bring herself to say it straight to his face.

So Seohyun decided to ask his friends to lend her their hand. Xiumin, Chen, Baekhyun and Chanyeol apparently agreed on helping her. They came to their apartment, looking drunk and begged Lu Han to let them stay the night because they couldn't drive when they're drunk. Reluctantly, Lu Han finally let them crash on his sofa.
