"Yeonjung! Yeonjung!", Yeonjung hears her father yell from across the church hall, his deep, manly voice booming, attracting all the attention of all their guests to him as he makes his way behind the altar. Yeonjung sits behind the altar, a fresh batch of hot tears fall down her face as she looks up to meet her father's apprehensive eyes, totally ruining her make-up but at this point, she really doesn't give much care to it.

"Yeonjung! This is beyond preposterous! Didn't I warn you about that girl?! Look at what she's done! Is this what you call maturity and independence at eighteen?", Yeonjung's father breaks eye contact for a second as he looks around the church area, "This is humiliating and a disgrace to our family name! I guess we should hurry home!"

I bet this isn't how you pictured it to be, Yeonjung's wedding day. Allow me to clear up the situation here. This isn't how playwrights pictured love. Love could be something like what Romeo and Juliet had, even though the two lovers had to die in the end. Adam even had Eve, two flesh-and-blood people that God created even though He banished them from the Garden of Eden. Heck, even King Edward VIII of England gave up the throne just to marry the woman he loves. Han Suyin has called it a many splendored thing! Believe it or not, even Kim Sejeong, Yeonjung's most trusted and loyal friend, found love in the form of a 16-year old girl named Jeon Somi.

Yeonjung has believed in so many fairytales and so many love novels and so many articles from different magazines, that she, herself, can find someone to love, someone to share her favorite things with. To simply find someone to just settle down with and maybe, just maybe, have a family of her own.

But seems like that won't be happening anytime soon.

Yeonjung's been stood up in her wedding day. Have you ever thought of anything more tragic than that? The church choir can be heard singing, "Here comes the bride~! All dressed in white~! ---" Even Wagner's Bridal Chorus can be heard from the background as Yeonjung pictures herself as she slowly walks down the aisle, her hand holding onto her father's arm, her other hand holding onto a bouquet of the most beautiful bunch of flowers.

But where's the groom? Oh wait. Let me rephrase that. Where's the other bride? Yeonjung's oh so precious Doyeon?

Yeonjung continues to cry as she's being dragged out of the church by her friends, namely Sejeong and Juyeon. They have been in the church since 9 in the morning and it's already 3 pm. They have been waiting for Doyeon to show up the entire afternoon. Some of the guests either left or headed straight to the reception area. Even the priest for their wedding had already left to attend to a funeral's mass. Doyeon's parents tried contacting the said girl but Doyeon doesn't seem to have her phone with her since the call always ends up getting disconnected. Yeonjung's family, especially her father, started to get really worried on how this "humiliating" event could affect their family name and is obviously concerned about their daughter's future.

"Our daughter's been stood up on her wedding day! This is most humiliating!", Yeonjung hears her mother say, rather loudly, making Yeonjung grimace even though her tears just can't seem to stop flowing out of her eyes. The whole idea made Yeonjung feel already worse but her parents just making a rather big fuss about it  just made her feel a thousand times worse, her heart constricting and her eyes already welling up with another batch of fresh tears.

"Doyeon... That bastard!", Yeonjung hears Sejeong hiss from the driver's seat. "I swear to God that I will murder her when I get my hands on her!"

"Alright, Sejeong. I get it. You're going to murder Doyeon. But can you please keep your temper in check first? Focus on driving Yeonjung home first then we can go and look for that woman.", Juyeon tells her as she comforts a sobbing Yeonjung in her arms. "I still want to be alive by the time Yeonjung does get married.", after hearing this statement, Yeonjung releases another loud wail and Juyeon panics as she tries her best to comfort the crying girl in her arms.

"Way to go to comfort her, Son Juyeon.", Sejeong looks at them from the rearview mirror and flashes her a smirk of her own.

Juyeon merely glares at her as she continues to stop Yeonjung from crying any further. After a few more minutes of Sejeong muttering incoherent curses and death threats at Doyeon and Juyeon's futile attempt of stopping the older woman from her cursing so that she can focus more on driving, the three girls finally made it to Yeonjung's house. Yeonjung's parents are back at the wedding venue, clearing out the situation and apologizing as well with the help of Doyeon's parents. Yeonjung's starting to feel sorry for the two parties involved in the shenanigans that Doyeon and her had made.

She's left alone in her room now, telling Sejeong and Juyeon that she's going to be fine. Her crying had considerably stopped now, only a few more silent whimpers here and there. Yeonjung can't believe that Doyeon did this to her. She knows how much Doyeon loves her, telling her those three words here and there even showing it through her actions by giving her chocolates and flowers every freaking day, kissing her rather sweetly and tenderly on her cheek, forehead and even on the lips! Yeonjung just can't seem to find a rather legit reason why Doyeon decided to not show up in their wedding day.

Did she cheat on her and decided to run away with another woman? . That's too far-fetched to happen! Doyeon's far too whipped (that's how Juyeon described their relationship and Sejeong just immediately agrees with her) when it comes to Yeonjung to the point that she's willing to sacrifice everything just to attend to her needs.

Maybe she's got other things to attend to? That's also something that's really unlikely to happen. Yeonjung has reminded Doyeon several times to never have anything on their wedding day. And as mentioned before, Doyeon's too whipped when it comes to Yeonjung.

Is she scared? Scared of the possible responsibilities and problems they might face in the future? Heck, Doyeon should know all the possible consequences of their actions! She should know all the equivalent responsibilities that comes along her decision of marrying Yeonjung at a really young age. Doyeon's the one who proposed and Yeonjung's just that idiot who immediately agreed to it, knowing that Doyeon is a responsible and a mature being on the topic, effectively persuading not only Yeonjung but as well as the girl's parents.

Yeonjung can remember that time when Doyeon asked for her hand in marriage right in front of her parents. She remembers how she strongly refused to follow her parents' advice. Yeonjung remembers how she fought her father and mother when they knew about their very young engagement. They told her that they're too young, too naive to fully know how the world works, telling her that Doyeon's a bad influence! Someone who can damage their family name, a person who carries such bad motives! Yeonjung remembers how she strongly disagreed with them, telling them how Doyeon loves her and how every word and every action of the young girl mirrors that love. She tells them that Doyeon knows her actions, knows very damn well that she's going to be responsible for Yeonjung once they get married.

Yeonjung remembers how Doyeon envelopes her in a warm, tight hug, encasing her using her long arms, when she grew too weak to stand up in front of her parents while she's on the verge of crying. She remembers how Doyeon whispers sweet nothings and assurances onto her ears, telling her that they'll find a way and they'll work things out.

"Shhh... There there, baby. Everything will work out for us. Just let me talk to them."

Yeonjung can remember how soft and tender Doyeon's lips are when she planted a lingering kiss onto Yeonjung's temple. Yeonjung has never felt so at home, never felt so safe in her entire life. She knew right there and then, that Doyeon is indeed the one she's looking for, the one she's asking for. The one who she knows that will love her and cherish her until the end of time.

Yeonjung can remember how Doyeon talked to her parents about how she'll take good care of her, how she's going to work hard just for them and how she's going to shoulder all the expenses despite Yeonjung's fussing about it. How she talked about independence and youth's self reliance, of how they are able not only to vote at eighteen but also get married at the young and tender age of eighteen. Yeonjung can remember perfectly well how her mother's eyes seem to soften after hearing Doyeon's words, how her father's eyebrows seem to become loose, how he suddenly looks down as he finally agrees to Doyeon's words. She can remember perfectly well, that
