Pragya Arora
The Reluctant Couple
Sarla was in the kitchen with her mother-in-law Daljeet Arora referred to as Beeji by her daughter-in-law and granddaughters.
"Beeji, I wish you will talk to Pragya about marriage because I have tried all I could but she wouldn't listen to me." She sighed and wiped her face with the end of her shawl. "She is pretty much content by being a nerd. She is nothing compared to her sister Bulbul." It was clear the mother was exasperated but who could blame her? She has two daughters and none of them is married yet and her eldest daughter at 28 had no intention of settling down and starting her own family.
Beeji sighed and gave her a reassuring smile. "You worry too much Sarla. I will definitely talk to her and I assure you that she would listen to me. She might have a boyfriend already." She speculated. "I will find the perfect man for my beautiful child, a man that would be the fantasy of every woman." She boasted.
Sarla smiled. "I hope Pragya listens to you."
"She will," Beeji stated firmly.
