The clock on his phone showed 3:00 am when the obnoxious ringing snapped him awake.

It’s too early. Too damn early. He thought. He wanted more than anything to slide decline just so he can go back to sleep, but the name flashing as the caller cannot be ignored. It’s his manager, who, oddly enough, never really calls, except for emergencies of course. He looked at the screen again. The feeling of dread slowly creeping up his throat.

“Hyung? What’s the matter?” He answered immediately, nervousness almost obvious if it wasn’t for the grogginess in his voice.

“Ah, Mino-yah, sorry to wake you up so early. It’s not an emergency, don’t worry. Well, at least, not life-threatening or anything like that. Listen— ”

“Ah, hyung! It’s 3 am, come ooon.”, Mino cut his manager off. He’s annoyed now. He was so happy when his other manager cleared their group 3 days free this week. That means he can sleep in as long as he wanted. The 3 days free isn’t starting so well..

“I know, I know! Just listen. I need to confirm with you quickly or else someone else will take this. It’s Youngji.”

His heart skipped a beat. “Oh... What about her?”, he asked timidly, suddenly becoming shy at how obvious he sounded. He’s been a fan of her ever since he saw her in the show called Roommate. He’s almost an avid fan now considering how almost everyone around him knows how crazy he is about her. The show’s long been gone, and a lot has happened in her life already. Still, he finds himself rewatching some of his favorite episodes when he has a break.

“Ok, my photographer friend just mentioned this in passing so consider yourself a lucky bastard. She was supposed to be having a photo shoot later today. It’s a couple photo shoot with another celebrity. But suddenly the other party became unavailable. Yah, you’re free today right? I offered you in place. Thank me later.”

Thank him later? Heck, he’ll thank him right now, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, FOREVER.

“Hyung, really? REALLY, REALLY?” He’s fully awake now. He can’t believe his luck. This is his chance to know her. To get close to her. To start as friends.. to becoming—

“Yah, I called you for this. You think I’m joking? So you ok today? You’ll fill in?”

“YES! YES! Text me the details!” Mino almost screamed. Johnny sauntered over at the disturbance.

“Johnny, baby. Wish your dad luck today!” Mino said between kisses at the cat on his lap.
