When she won the entrance to the Fan contest Show that EXO held with SBS, HaKi Bloom was so happy but as she got in the show backstage, she felt so self conscious and dizzy. She was the ugliest according the noonas who spoke korean, judging them unable to regardless the fact some may be mastering Korean like her. She was the fattest, the ugliest, the hopeless and the list went on.

It made her feel hurt but what did hurt her more is that they said she was definitely going to be partnered with a trashcan or Jongdae who was considered as the ugliest in EXO by the stuff.

The fact they insult her was painful but insulting Jongdae despite being good looking made her silently glare ahead. It was her turn anyway to get makeup and hair done. She observed as the makeup artist was disappointed with her skin’s state.

“Well, at least the pretties are glowing.” the woman mumbled as she dabbed the makeup on HaKi face. The girl noticed how ugly her makeup was and allowed them to hairstyle her before she picked her bag and dashed out. In a restroom, she wiped her face and made her own makeup again.

Her routine made her look younger and cuter and she prefered so. Her hairstyle was ok, but she still fixed it. It didn’t matter for her anyway because at that point she was pissed beyond belief. She headed to the studio, shocking the girls who saw her korean makeup and mocked it few moments before she dashed out. They had to get what seemed to be a platform where the nine members were going to sit from across their seats. Few girls had already got their spot and she realized that she was given a seat in the far behind, where she went to and sat there, playing with her phone and ignoring everyone. Her smile didn’t show until the Exo members showed up and the girls rushed to meet them. As much as excited she was, she was deeply hurt and depressed. However a bright smile appeared in her lips as they shook hands with her.

“She is glowing.” it left the lips of many exo members as she shook their hands. When she held Jongdae’s hands she noticed that he held it a little longer.

She looked up and noticed his frown. “Are you ok?” her face got pinkish and she nodded smiling brighter even if she tried to hide it with a bite of lips. She shook hands with Minseok who was kind enough to say that she had a beautiful smile.

She tried to dismiss them but one of the PDs showed up and harshly pushed to sit away. She ignored the stares on her and walked to the seat, where she battled her tears.

Obviously, nobody wanted her in the show.

The day went on for a while and they kindly added her to the questions, like where is this person from and how big the hallyu wave in her country. They mostly asked Natalie Hasjenleinkul. She was an actress and an upraising pop star in Thailand. Already a celebrity.

Her smile faded by the end of the show first ep and as they greeted she turned to bow and wave to the exo members who were waving back. The girls were fangirling all over the place while they headed to the vans.

She was happy to know that at least she was getting a room on her own as they were nine girls to partner up with the nine boys. It surprised her Yixing was going to be part of the show.

“So happy with the privilege?” the girl behind her said as she squeezed herself in the passenger seat. “You get to sit alone and get your own room. You must be lucky.”

“She is. After all, her number was the lucky number they picked for the ninth girl. We all had to audition.” Another girl told her. Haki didn’t look at them at all, acting like she was fast asleep. Was it the reason why nobody accepted her? Because she got her chance in the show easier than them?

The van stopped by the hotel parking and she left the car the last. Her bags were on the room as she got in. She showered and spent the rest of the time trying to moisturize her skin and clean it.

Tiredness overcame later and she slept.

In the second episode, the makeup artists didn’t touch her face and just done her hair. She had to do it again on her own and she was happy about that. But it didn’t really solve anything.

In fact, they had to wear uniforms and none of the sizes brought did fit her body. She admitted being overweight but the nasty looks and the comments made her swallow a limp. Thankfully, the vest did fit her, open, and did fit her black jeans and plain white dress shirt. She wasn’t the only one shunned for her weight or look, she noticed as a shy and embarrassed girl stood by her side.

“Like usual.” Jun Myun, being the MC with Baekhyun, spoke.

Baekhyun stopped him. “The introductions should be done in a fun way.” they nodded at his words but HaKi noticed how few members observed her outfit. “Let us introduce you the girls who will dance in the small circle ahead.” the girls cheered as the first name was drawn and Haki observed as the girls danced happily as she grew self conscious.

“Don’t overthink.” Haki looked at the blond girl by her side. “You take it too seriously. Just dance, even if it means you are off tune and you make weird moves. You are here to enjoy your time.” Haki nodded, turning a little more pink.  “Elizabeth Maurr, but call me Betty.”

“Haki Bloom, call me Haki.” she smiled at the girl who was called and stepped in to dance divinely well. She noticed how they wowed the girl when her name was called and she stepped in as Elizabeth encouraged her and suddenly Forever played and she loved it. She had in her mind like a mantra and she danced because she loved it and cared less. She sweated as her hair played in every move and surprisingly she finished the song under EXO’s applause and she noticed two girls behind her who seemed sweating.

Jongin was the first to get close to her, high fiving. Few gave her highfives, even from the girls. Haki stood by Elizabeth who smiled to her. “You got the passion.”

“I do? I just love the song too much.” She noticed the change of music and Exo stepped in to dance on KOKOBOP which made her try to mirror them. She did, with Elizabeth, have fun to an extent she feared it won’t last.

They passed to the next part where they had games. Haki seemed tired and her makeup needed a retouche so they allowed her to go freshen up which she did, wetting her hair and re fixing her makeup.

She ran back only to notice them already making the list of partners. The Show producer made the choice apparently and she was partenered with Jongdae. It made her furious. She passed by them and stood by Elizabeth who gave a worried look. She just smiled softly to it but said nothing. They disregarded Jongdae? Was he pressured too for being who he is?

“We will now draw the couple.” Jun Myun said suddenly and Haki smirked as she looked away. “The computer will make a random choice of partners who will work together for the rest of the show.” it made her scoff and she looked up to notice few eyes on her. She just smirked before looking at Jongdae who was looking at the screen. She didn’t look away and Jongdae had a surprised expression on when Baekhyun pointed it out until when suddenly Jongdae and Haki names showed up and he rushed to her while she shyly smiled at his expression, rushing halfway to high five him. The partnership ended and they had to take a pose. Jongdae approached with a translator behind her.

She just gave her a hint to not come closer. “Haki Bloom. nice to meet you, Kim Jongdae.”
