After World War III and World War IV, the world changed. Mankind evolved in an unexpected way and by the time the Anglo-Saxon calendar had a 3 as the first digit in the year, there was an unconscious ranking system.

There were Alphas- the tried and true leaders with the muscle to back their word up; then came the Betas- the peace keepers, the back up general, the protectors; following them was the Omegas- they were the heart and soul to the Alphas' power and the Betas' brains; finally, the lowest of them all, the Zs (Zeds). The Zs didn't truly carry a "scent" to mark their rank for the Council. The Zs were nobodys- often times they were given the worst jobs and left to fade into obscurity 

The Zs were considered little more than a disgrace for any bloodline- even if they were the President's only son.

Note:

The Council is almost like a gathering of psychics that have the abilities which have been observed and approved. There is a council for every country-  such as Asia, North America, South America, Britain, Africa and Australia. At the age of thirteen, before entering Secondary schooling, every child must be presented to the Council. The Council will reflect upon their findings between themselves before deciding the child's fate. Upon receiving their rank, a child's Secondary schooling will alter accordingly. The Council doesn't make mistakes, and children are trained to fulfill their societal roles. The Council's word is final.
