Midnight Circus

Midnight Circus

It is as if I have chains locked on my body

Only unlocked I am forced to perform, distracting children from their dreams

Once a paradise, full of sunshine and laughter

Now only a passing nightmare lit by moonlight  and cries of children

Dressed in colorful outfits only to please the ring master but never to please myself

I have no freedom, always being watched, its like I have no voice

How did I get here? I only remember the mist, the mist that brings the circus

I want to leave, I don't want to be in this nightmare

The lights the strange people the pain its all to much

The mist I can see it, the sun is rising, the circus is disappearing along with myself

Chains wrap my body again, I realise I can't leave

I am destined to be a prisoner of the Midnight Circus.
