GREY
Description
Change in life had always considered normal, just the advancement and adaptation of living things, but the transition between loving fiancee to tough, cruel superwoman isn't easy, as it isn't in Charlene's case.
Charlene had always been the shy girl in the class, the one people never really noticed, invisible's more like it, but he did.
Nicholas Tse was the bad student in the class, clever and a smart mouth, but always keen to protect Charlene, even though they barely spoke to each other.
Soon, in a matter of 4 years, Charlene finds herself falling for someone that couldn't be farther away from her plain jane lifestyle.
And boy did Nicholas love her back, and thus started an undying love, but who's to presume that this is not a tragedy, and not Romeo and Juliet in disguise during modern times?
Just as Charlene is getting more and more used to depending on Nicholas, and they are about to get married, tragedy strikes with no holding back of it's wickedness.
Charlene had never cared much for the "business" Nicholas had, for she had full belief in Nic that he would not danger himself, though she had known from the start his position of leader in one of the top gangs in Hong Kong.
As Nic is hauled in by police officers for crimes Charlene hadn't even heard of, suddenly, she's crying at home, just hoping her fiancee could come home.
With no such luck, one of Nic's people find his cold, frozen, dead body just streets away from the police headquarters.
Instantly, tears falling from her eyes, something deep inside Charlene knaws at the fact that the last people to have seen Nic was none other than the so-trusted police.
Immediately, Charlene takes over Nic's place, voted by the public, and in one year, toughens up from a girly, dependent, emotional girlfriend to live up to the position of a gang leader. She's using every bone, sweat and tear to run the gang.
When history repeats itself though, and Charlene herself is imprisoned by the police, Charlene once again remembers her original goal of taking over Nic's position... to avenge his death.
In this haze however, she still sees the police as the bad guys, and sits alone in the dark corner of the cell, clenching her hands into fists, biting on her lips... waiting for her name to be cleared... as it is originally.
Enter Aaron Yan, a young police officer that just can't follow rules to the exact, and always believing his instincts as first priority, unlike the rules and proof a police officer must abide to. Aaron, in charge of her cell, in boredom, maybe, takes an interest into Charlene, a young girl so silent, and hating of him. After talking to Charlene, however reluctant Charlene was, he suddenly takes more notice to his surrounding co-workers, and over-hears a conversation not fit for his ears.
Soon, Aaron and Charlene are on the run, but who're they running from?
Is it possible even they don't know? An enemy so powerful, yet never seen.
The problem is, they don't even know that they are holding a deadly secret that could cost them their lives; all they believe is that they're running from injustice.
Although having each other to rely on, they can't even START to understand all the dangers just around the corner. Like they say, 'good always wins evil' but who's to say that evil doesn't have a good reason? Who can see the grey spot between black and white?
