Happy birthday, Victoria!

Victoria had just finished practising their new dance. She checked the time on her phone. It was almost midnight. Nichkhun-ssi was supposed to be coming home after a long week of interviews. She had missed him so much and couldn’t wait to see him tomorrow night. Then, she thought of the perfect plan.

Victoria checked the contents of the basket once more before heading out. Samgyupsal, ddeokbokki, gamjatang, rice, jjajangmyeon, pajeon and chapssaltteok. Perfect. She looked at the clock. It was two o’clock in the morning. It had taken her only two hours to make all this food. She had planned to surprise him when he got back from his trip. She smiled to herself and headed out the door.

As she approached the apartment building, she saw the door open and Nichkhun emerged. Wasn’t he supposed to be back in the morning though? Victoria thought that maybe he arrived earlier than scheduled. She was about to call out his name, but then she stopped.

Victoria watched as a girl followed out behind him. The girl looked oddly familiar and couldn’t be more than eighteen years old. Victoria continued to watch the pair from a distance. She watched as they talked, smiling and laughing.

She took out her phone and dialed his number. She watched as he took out his phone, clearly surprised and signalling for the girl to be quiet.

“Yeoboseyo, Nichkhun-ssi? Yeah. I was just wondering where you were? Oh…you’re still in Busan? I see. Hmmm, nothing. Yes, see you tomorrow. Good night.”

He had lied to her. But why?

Then, she saw a cab pull up and watched as Nichkhun walked up to it, opening the door for the other girl . She watched as the girl wrapped her arms around him and as he returned her hug. Victoria couldn’t help but look at the smile on his face and she watched as the girl kissed him on the cheek before entering the cab. She watched as he stood there waving the cab off, smiling, before he returned back into the building.

Victoria couldn’t believe it. Who was that girl? Was she his girlfriend or just some random girl? How could he do this to her, especially after all they’d been through? She felt her eyes tear up and promptly halted a cab and headed home.

When she got home, she threw out all the food that she had prepared for him. She was angry and sad at the same time. She spent the rest of the night crying and eventually fell asleep. When she woke up in the morning, she had made her decision.

I wonder if Nichkhun ever comes across these fanfics. He'll probably think we're creepy. AWWWKS.
