I saw her back facing me under the moonlight, sitting on the edge of the cliff. Through the darkness, and the sparkling sea, I know its her. I'm sure its her.

Who's she?

She's the only person who made me realize that there's more to life than revenge. She became the light of my dark days. The happiness I never thought I would ever felt again. The hope to give meaning for my existence. In short, she gave my life back, the life that I offered to my mission willingly.

She said she loves me. I wanted to say the feelings are mutual, but too afraid that she cannot accept who I really am, too afraid to be rejected, worse be disgusted by her so I told her instead that, I'm not who she thinks I am. You can't love a person fully if you don't really know her, though I already fallen deeply in love with her at first sight. And with that, she answered me with a simple... 

“ I know who you are... ”

That caught me off guard. After a long pause she added:

“ but you don't know WHAT I am,”
Secrets... We both have our own secrets.

“I better not be loved fully, than be hated by the only person I treasure the most.”

That was the first time, I heard her say  so many words, and would probably be the last. For that night, like any other nights, she was gone, but this time, she has not returned till morning, up to dusk.

Panicked of loosing her, my feet leads me where we first met. I saw her and I know, she felt my presence. She took her last glance at me, with a sole tear in her eye, muttering ‘I'm sorry’ before letting herself fall freely on the sea below her.

I ran after her, but I was too late as a giant wave swallowed her whole, and what fear me more was what I saw:

the tail of a giant serpent.

Memories of my parents who were slaughtered by two Serpents flashed back on me. 

"Why does all of my love ones were killed by those creatures?!"

Now I will continue what I'm bound to do, my reason for living:

To hunt and kill all the evil serpents to extinction.
