Show Me What I'm Looking For

Description

Seokjin doesn't have money ever since he left his home. He went out from the closet and as he had guessed, his parents chased him out and he deals with it. He ended up straying by the roadside but life isn't a waste.

A person came to him one night and held out a card. "Want some cash?"

Seokjin was at loss.

"Work for me and you'll have a place to sleep."

Foreword

"Welcome to my home. Call whatever as you please, this big house aren't as merrier as it were supposed to be. I live here, all solitude and personal guaranteed." Seokjin glances at the card swiftly and looked up at the said guy standing gloriously in front of him.

Jeon Jungkook, Private Foreign Exchange.

Such a pretty boy, Seokjin muses silently and looked around the house. He was right. This place is indeed, very beautiful and enormous with its big golden lamps thrilling the lights all around the place.

"See that room?" Seokjin stares at a certain dark room at the end of hidden corner and God, this place somehow felt eerie when he cannot see the hidden corridor. Jeon went to the room and turns in the light as his hands were pocketed once again. "It's yours. That's it if you manage to do your job well."

The older man was gawking at the room. Oh, how he would never managed to afford such a big room. It feels like an expansive apartment when it's isn't on the 2nd floor. White walls, basically with bunch of Classy Europeans Vantage shoved into the room and Seokjin knows that this is perfection. "Holy cow!"

Seokjin went stiff when the younger boy beside him let out a chuckle. "Glad you love it. It used to belong to someone I used to know. In fact, this person will be very close to you. Soon." That was enigma. And how close will it be? "Things will get interesting from now on. You can rest after this but come with me."

Seokjin found himself sitting on the leather couch fronting the Jeon. The dude himself was sitting opposite of him. Separating by the rich wooden table, it all feels like a business transaction. Seokjin was hoping he won't get his up for something illegal like a fraud, mafia or some kind of unidentified syndicates. Because it seems like it is. Just look at those rings the boy was wearing. The glitters are scary as .

Jeon smiles. That is terrifying, Seokjin stormed inside his head but remain cool is important. Chill and freeze your , he told himself and smiles back. "Enlighten me." Though he doesn't want to know.

"I don't know from where we should start but I assure you, Kim, there's nothing to be afraid of." Seokjin was startled, "I know your name, yes. I know all about you."

"You've been stalking me?!" Holy mother of duck.

"Stalk is a strong word. I'm not stalking you. I was learning about you. Every criteria of a person I've been searching for are found in you, a simple mindless person."

"You don't have to be rude." Seokjin shot out in irritation.

"I'm not sorry. You entrance exam two years ago was F as . It was horrible." Jeon replied in sass tone, leaving Seokjin all speechless.

"You're a drag queen!"

"At least I'm not gay like you."

"Dude, I never put my interest as gay on my birth registration!" Seokjin makes a disgusted expression leaving Jeon to burst out laughing. "I'm glad that you're entertained but I need the real deal. What's up?" Jeon snorted when he sees the eagerness inside those brown orbs and held out a file from his side which Seokjin accepted quickly.

"Woah, dude, it's not a Christmas's gift. Relax." Jeon shakes his head. Seokjin mumbles a simple sorry and engrossed himself with the information from the envelope.

"What is...." He went stilled, gripping a picture of someone's tomb with a lot of funeral photographs dropping after it. September 22th, 2013. Four years ago. "Someone died?" He was okay but he couldn't help it. There's something, a little of a dreadful feeling tingles inside him. Switching to another picture, Seokjin sees a lot of people cry and tears decorating their faces. It was sorrowful until his eyes stopped on a man's face.

The only guy with a blank face.

"What did you see?" Jeon was staring and he didn't realised it. Seokjin  his dry lips and continues staring. Jeon went tensed for a while and let the guy to absorb his own thoughts. The older guy put the pictures aside and got his hand on a white sheets with scribbles on it. The handwriting was the hard one but he managed.

"Dear love,

I am weak. I cannot bear the moment you will appear in my mind. My mind will play tricks on me, it will deceive me, it will make me miss you. Sometimes I will think about the good moments. How excited you were when we first met. How my heart thumped the first time we laid down together and you casually draped your arm over me. When you put your fingers between mine that cold night just so you could hold my hand. When I did anything that was your favorite. When I realized that, for once, I found someone like myself who enjoyed my company, my thoughts, my expressions.

The others who talk of you, they will become quiet when I am around. They will ask me how my day is going, but with a look that makes me feel distraught. I won’t get upset; I will have expected this to happen. Instead, I will feel the need to smoke a cigarette, though I have never smoked one before. I may ask them for one in an effort to change the conversation. I know they care, but it hurts. I never talk about you. But Jungkook was different, he kept talking about you. He said I've never truly move on and I told him that he will never know.

You're my forever and will always be my last. You might have been forgotten by others but for me, you will always be missed. I love you."

"There's no name. Who wrote this?" Seokjin flips the letter but there's none. "He talked about you." Seokjin didn't want to say much, but the letter was all about sappy talk. It was cliche.

Jeon smiles and gives Seokjin another picture. "You missed one. Next time, make sure you check the content wholly. Don't want to be left out, aren't we?" The boy chortle when Seokjin scowls at him. "Look threatening." He muses jokingly.

Seokjin looked back the pictures and it was a picture of a couple. In a second, he points out the picture to Jeon, "It's him!"

"What?" Jeon asks warily.

"The blank dude! He didn't cried during the funeral." Jeon wasn't amused. Either way, his attention went short when he sees the next guy standing beside the blank face. "I take it that he's the dead one?" Seokjin blurted out but never lift his head, instead he just googled the photo and he comes down with a realisation. "They're lovers." And the date was...September 16th, 2013..."Six days befo---"

Jeon who've had been silent for the whole time opened his mouth, "Bingo. It's easy to figure out and that's why I don't tell. Any questions?"Jeon raises his eyebrow and Seokjin shrugs.Jeon breathes out and suddenly, he looked dead serious. "What's your thought on these pictures, Kim?"

"That dude got his boyfriend dead and he wrote the love letter. As you've said, he didn't moved on and I don't know, seems like a pretty common heartbreak." Seokjin explains with everything he had gathered on himself and Jeon looked satisfied. Very.

"I'm glad I hired you."

"Never said yes."

"You stepped inside my house and it was guaranteed." Seokjin rolls his eyes in annoyance which Jeon laughs his out again. "The deal is you need to heal my cousin, the blank dude like you've said. Just pretty much spending time with him and see where it goes."

But Seokjin didn't listened because he was freaking out. "Wait...what? Holy...I just need to entertain a person?" That is too easy.

"He isn't normal." Jeon continued and that's when Seokjin felt his heart dropped. "Mental whatever, you need to see him yourself. And oh, you can't back out now because I bet my money on you. I will go somewhere tomorrow so you're alone. The house is for you and have fun!" Jeon was standing up and walking to his room. Seokjin had been all gusto on the situation and things were getting out of hand.

"Oh Lord. Mental? Look, Jeon, I don't think this is a good idea! You put my life on the line." Yeah, he's freaking out. Jeon couldn't stopped laughing seeing the panicked expression on the said guy.

"He isn't mental, chill. He is sane just...aren't as sane as us. I don't know how to tell." Jeon started to look everywhere except him. Seokjin knew that much of when someone is nervous or trying to hide something and Jeon is the epitome of the situation.

"Very convincing." Seokjin curses under his breath. As he looked again, Jeon already went upstairs and there goes the door closed at the 2nd floor. Seokjin was left alone.

And he doesn't know what to do. Gathering all the pictures, he hid them in the file and went to his room. Before he could fall asleep, a question had been lingering on his mind.

What had happened during the six days before the guy passed away?
