Chapter 26: Last Night



 

"I love you." He whispers in her ear and she smiles.

He hugs her tightly from behind and she caresses his arm that is wrapped around her.

Bong Hee: Hmm..
Ji Wook: Did you sleep well?
Bong Hee: Of course. How about you?
Ji Wook: Yes. (He kisses her shoulder and just snuggles closer to her.)
Bong Hee: What time is it?
Ji Wook: Hmm. (He reaches out for his watch on the table behind him and sees that it's already past 8am.) Around 8. Do you want to go back to the hotel?
Bong Hee: (chuckles) Of course not. (She turns around and hugs him.) If I could stay here the whole day, I will.
Ji Wook: (smiles) Me too. But I think we should go back or they'll be worried.
Bong Hee: They're all adults. They'll be fine.
Ji Wook: (laughs) Jagiya..
Bong Hee: (laughs too and faces him) Jagiya.
Ji Wook: (brushes their noses) Hmm?
Bong Hee: (smiles and kisses Ji Wook softly on the lips. He smiles.) I love you. I won't ever get tired saying that to you.
Ji Wook: And I love you too, Noh Bong Hee. I love you so much. (He kisses her forehead and hugs her tightly.) And I hate that we have to go back..
Bong Hee: Ugh, me too.

Ji Hae: So how's your night with Mr. Noh, huh?
Bong Hee: (smiles, blushing) Well..
Yoo Jung: We don't have to ask anymore, Ji Hae. You know what happened!
Ji Hae: Yeah, right. So how many times did you do it-
Bong Hee: Na Ji Hae!! (Her face is so red)
Ji Hae: Geez, we're all adults here!
Yoo Jung: (laughs) Exactly.
Bong Hee: God, it's not something I want to share with you guys!
Yoo Jung and Ji Hae laugh.
Ji Hae: Look at your face. (Laughs) You look like a tomato.
Bong Hee: Aisht!
 

Sun Woo: Hi, Ji Hae.
Ji Hae: (looks at Sun Woo who just arrived with Ji Wook and Eun Hyuk) Oh, h-hi.
Bong Hee: (whispers, smirking) Now she's the one who looks like a tomato.
Ji Hae: W-What?
Yoo Jung laughs.
Bong Hee: Nothing!

Eun Hyuk sits beside Yoo Jung and Ji Wook sits beside Bong Hee. Bong Hee smiles at her husband.
Bong Hee: Hey.. (she blushes as she looks at him. Yoo Jung and Ji Hae smile as they look at her. For them, Bong Hee looks like she's so inlove with Ji Wook.)
Ji Wook: (smiles) Hi. (He reaches out for her hand and places it on his lap, intertwining their fingers. She smiles and holds his hand tighter.)
Bong Hee: Did you catch a lot of fishes again?
Ji Wook: I did! (He smiles like a proud kid)
Bong Hee: (smiles) Good. You must be hungry.
Ji Wook: A little. (looks at her plate and notices that she only got two slices of meat and a tablespoon of potato salad) Jagiya.. You should eat more.
Bong Hee: But I'm really not hungry..
Ji Wook: (looks at her) You didn't eat breakfast.
Bong Hee: I don't know. I'm just not in the mood to eat..
Ji Wook: (sighs) Jagiya. You'll get sick if you continue this..
Bong Hee: (sighs) Yeah, fine... if it'll stop you from worrying.
Ji Wook: (smiles) Thank you. I'll cook your favorite food when we're back home to make it up to you.
Bong Hee: You should. I'll make a list.
Ji Wook: (laughs) Sure.
Eun Hyuk: Ji Wook, you up for later?
Ji Wook and Bong Hee look at him.
Bong Hee: Where are you going?
Eun Hyuk: I have to buy something from a friend near here.. I asked him to come to with me 'cause he knows this place so well. But we have to leave at night though. He won't be home until 7pm.
Ji Wook: (looks at Bong Hee) Is it okay? We won't be long..
Bong Hee: (nods) Of course. Just be back soon. We planned a little dinner tonight since it's our last day here..
Ji Wook: Yes, we won't be long. You're going to cook? (He smiles)
Bong Hee: Yes.. (She smiles) So you need to go back soon or else.
Ji Wook nods, smiling. He reaches out for the meat and places a few slices on Bong Hee's plat
