Study Hall session

During school there was a time before lunch that allowed them to relax or do work (preferably) but many of the students could head over to other classrooms and hang out with other people.

    "She's pretty," the boys whispered at her back as she tried to listen to the teacher up ahead.

"Dude, she's got a hot bod,"

"Shush, she can hear you," someone told the whispering group. Indeed, Liliana heard everyone of them though she chose to ignore. 

"Yo Kai, didn't see you there!" the previous loud talker said to the one who had warned them to quiet down. 

"Did you hear how those girls were screaming----just wait till they see you on the basketball team!" he laughed making a chuckle abrupt from Kai. She remembered that name---that voice---

*He's handsome,* she said after darting her eyes up looking over him. Kai on cue touched her gaze with his luminous but unspeakable black eyes; his top lip softly posed on the bottom lip as he gave her a look as if to  unearth her;

"Am I that handsome?" he brightly smiled with conceded streak in his words. Liliana smirked at him

"No, you need to check that," 

"Check what?"

"That drool hanging down from your lip---gosh I didn't know I was that pretty," she , flipping her lush rays of brown hair. Kai laughed at her comment his laughter was able to stick out from the four other snickers

"Seem's like you met your match," 

"I haven't had a competitor in a while," he smiled looking away from Liliana

"The girl version of Kai,"

"I'm Liliana---and I think you mean to say Kai is the boy version of me," she watched Kai burst out with laughs, "I'm serious." Kai gave a secret stare to his pod before he went over to Liliana's desk, pushing her cellphone aside along with her journal and pens

"So you're a bad girl?" he questioned his lips forming into a look of wonder.

"Who said I was good girl?" she said through a wall of teeth. Kai looked off cockily; this girl was interesting.

"Really?"

"I think I've already proved it," she was referring to her occasional savvy remarks. The male with a crest of ebony coated hair softened his look at her

"Barely. Actions speak louder than words," he flicked a streak of brown hair aside to whisper things

"And plus theres no way you can reach my level. The fan girls will tear you apart before then," he pulled away from her ear; noticing how his fangirls watched with deadly glances. He then put on that smile

"I hope to see you on the court one day,"

"Pray that day doesn't come," she grinned evilly. Kai really liked her now. She was feisty she put up with this crap----she might be able to take the heat.

"Ooo I'm scared. I guess I better watch out," she nodded at him watching the male leave. He walked out of the classroom.

"Liliana what did he say to you?" asked one of Kai's cohorts. She waved him off

        "He challenged me," she simply told him. But first she had to figure out what he meant by level per say. And how to obtain----whatever was so special about him.

      Kai was heading for the basketball courts, his mind blank and unfocused. 

    Here he was….Kai the famous, handsome, y, basket ball player avid worker of the Special Extracurricular Expeditions group-----but back home he was the opposite. A failure.
