Christmas and New Year quickly went by with only baby Jinny enjoying to the fullest...the lavish expression of  giving and loving from  the family. Ji hyun released a heavy sigh "Someday, I'll be able to share the yuletide meaning too...someday...with someone special" she thought forcing herself not to think of Chang Wook

"Yeodongsaeng!" Min hy called from behind her, startling her, shattering her reverie

"Yah! You startled me!" Ji hyun snapped

"Sorry!" Min hy meekly replied "What were you thinking that made you so jumpy?" she again asked 

"Nothing! I was just mentally arranging my school schedule...that's why" Ji hyun replied guiltily

"Ah! Ok! Anyway, Mom and Dad called, they've safely arrived in Korea and they want you to meet someone" Min hy teased

"Someone? Nugu?" Ji hyun asked

"Sogaeting!" Min hy said with a sly smile

"Sogaeting? Yah! Neo Jejeongsin-iya?" Ji hyun said horrendously

"It wasn't me. Mom and Dad did!...Anyway here's the meeting place" Min hy said passing a calling card with the location written at the back and tip toed away

"Jamkkan!" Ji hyun said abruptly "This is just a joke right?" she continued 

Min hy turned to face her "No! It's not...and it's all up to you...but if you'll ask me, I want you to follow your heart! Only then you'll be truly happy" she said with a smile

Ji hyun didn't realized that she went rigid, coldness slowly seep through her, numbing her, she turned her back from Min hy, avoiding her stares, quickly retreated to her room and slammed the door. She slumped on her bed and looked at the calling card in her hand, tears started to fall..."Do I really have to do this?" she asked herself. She tossed the card on her night stand and bury her head under the pillow. "I kept on running away...too scared to go through another blow from him, but my heart always leads me back to his love...Babo!" she thought ruefully

It was her last day in school. "I made it! Yes!" Ji hyun exclaimed

"Eonnie!" she called 

"Congratulations! Aren't you going to attend the awarding ceremony?" Min hy said breathlessly, she dashed from the kitchen too happy for her sister

"Of course! We are going to attend the ceremony!" Ji hyun said "Then let's party after" she continued

"Yah! Don't you have a date? That's Valentine's day...you also have to go on a date that day" Min hy teased

"Oh okay! I will" Ji hyun agreed

"Really! You have a date? Who? Is he from school? Do I know him?"  Min hy chanted

"Yes! I do have a date! Not from school! Yes you know that person!" Ji hyun said as a matter of factly 

"Nugu?" Min hy was startled

"Jinny!" Ji hyun exclaimed "Jinny-ah, let's go on a date on Friday ok" she said then quickly run to her room

 Valentine's Day "It's really not my day. Cupid has been a rebel without a cause. Shooting arrows to wrong people, this baby with a bow and arrow, in diapers is really not my friend but an enemy...really!" she lamented

Ji Chang Wook was happy over the news that Ji hyun has finished her school with honors. He asked Min hy if he could come over to visit since it's Valentine's day on Friday and he wanted to congratulate Ji hyun but was advised not to and to just wait...It has been barely 3 months since he started calling Min hy on a regular basis, to update about Ji hyun.

He felt so dejected last month when he was informed that Ji hyun had a blind date with a family friend's son, only to feel elated the day after because Ji hyun rejected her blind date bluntly...series of emotional tide...all because of Ji hyun. In the midst of his busy schedules his mind has only one resting place...it was with her. He breathe her memories like a medicine to dispel the emptiness and invigorate his weary soul.

"Eonnie, I was offered a job in the university." Ji hyun said 

"Well it's up to you! Are you seriously contemplating on working full time doing an academe work?" Min hy said while intently staring at her

Ji hyun stopped for a second, creased her forehead and her chin "I don't know...I still don't know" she said with a heavy sigh, then slowly retreated to her room.

A soft knock disturbed her thoughts "Ji hyun-ah, I forgot to give you something?" Min hy called outside her door

"Come in Eonnie..." Ji hyun said

"Here, my belated congratulatory gift...hope you like it" Min hy said and gave her a small box

"Ige mwoji? Hope it's expensive..." Ji hyun teased

"Its worth depends on you..." Min hy said while walking to the door

Perplexed, Ji hyun carefully opened the box...USB?..."Mwoya ige?" she thought to herself. She walk towards her study table and opened her laptop. She inserted the USB...and click the lone file stored....there he was...in an interview...declaring his love for her on national tv..."Mwoji? When was this? Nobody told me about this...Wae?" she thought in disbelief. She dashed outside for Min hy and was startled to find Min hy waiting for her. "Eonnie?" Ji hyun's eyes were full of questions 

"I saw that last year when you were in Korea for a commercial shoot, I was so surprised that you didn't have any idea about this and I even confronted Manager-nim about it...but end up accepting his reasons...all of these must be presented to you first hand...no in between just you and him...you told me you wanted to hold a regular job. It's fine with me...but I'd like you to be honest with yourself first...Will that make you happy? Truly happy?" Min hy cautiously asked "I'm your sister and more than anybody else...it was I who knew what's going on in your mind...and more than anybody else, it was I who sincerely wished for your happiness" Min hy continued with tears in her eyes

"Eonnie..." Ji hyun can't fake it anymore like a raging waterfalls her tears fell down followed by an anguished cry

Min hy walked towards her and hugged her tight."Ji hyun-ah...it's okay to be scared...but you have to face your utmost fear to be able to be free and be happy again...thinking about failure before starting anything is unfair to yourself...stop worrying about tomorrow....all you have to do is bravely face today....if it fails at least you won't have regrets...for you did all you can and had tried your best!" Min hy whispered comfortingly. Ji hyun held on to Min hy for strength and comfort. Like a ship wrecked on a stormy sea, she badly needs a harbor to moor her weary heart. 

An incessant ringing interrupted her sleep..."Hello" she replied drowsily

"Ji hyun-ah, have you received my email?" Manager-nim impatiently asked

"Huh! What email?" she languidly replied

"Yah! Yah! Snap out of it...this is important" her manager exclaimed

"What?" Ji hyun said now fully awake

"Read my email now...I'll call you again" her manager snapped

Ji hyun stared at her phone long enough to melt it..."Mweoya?" she thought. She stood up quickly and opened her laptop to check her emails. She read about 2 drama synopsis and a movie synopsis. "Hmmm not bad...will I try it?" she thought this time totally awakened and with renewed enthusiasm.

Min hy went with her to the airport to say goodbye. "I will go back to Korea to watch the awards night" Min hy teased

"Yah! I haven't started anything yet what award are you talking about?" Ji hyun replied

"Uri dongsaeng...I believe you...whatever you do...you always give your best! Fighting!" Min hy said and hugged her tight "Just do it!...whatever your heart desires....Geunyang hae! I will always be here cheering for you" she whispered

Ji hyun hugged and kissed her sister Minhy goodbye.....

The contract signing for her new drama went on smoothly. She was informed that they were still waiting for the confirmation of the leading man.

"Manager-nim, do you have any idea as to who will be the leading man?" Ji hyun asked

"It's Kim so hyun-sshi, they're still waiting for him to finish shooting his movie in China" her manager replied

"Woah! Heol! Daebak! I'm really excited, hope he can do it with me" she eagerly said

It was the last week of March, news about Kim so hyun not being able to do the drama because of prior engagement has led to Yoo seung ho being offered the role instead, were a hot topic. Then like a deja vu, Yoo seung ho rejected the role because of prior commitment to an international movie....which led to Ji chang wook being offered the role and....he accepted it. 

Ji hyun was checking on the news online while sipping her morning juice...it reads...."Ji Chang Wook to do a drama with Nam Ji Hyun" she splattered juice all over the monitor and yelped for her manager

"Waeyo? Ighhhh dirty...what are you doing spraying sticky juice all over?" her manager asked

"What's this?" she said pointing on the trending news

"Ah, about that I was informed this morning that they've already finished the contract signing and you will have a meeting with him tomorrow at SBS" her manager abruptly replied as he darted away to avoid serious injury from her....she was left in a state of shock, her pulse was in an overdrive with a tingling sensation on her toes "Will I still be alive for tomorrow" she thought horrified "With the rate my heart is thumping I might succumb to heart attack anytime and will not be able to last till tomorrow...." she breathe heavily "be calm my heart...till tomorrow" she whispered fervently.

The meeting went by smoothly. They talked about the synopsis, the possible flow of the drama, their individual and group schedules for location shoots. No personal interactions just professional stuff. They met and parted ways like a real pro. 

It was a bright windy day of April, the location of the photo shoot was at Yi Sun Sin Park, Tongyeong. Ji hyun went the day before the actual photo shoot for a stroll and to refresh her memories of the place she once visited after that miserable break up. She stood in front of the shrine of Yi Sun Sin over looking the beautiful coastal view, that were once witness to her tears "I'm back...with a prayer, hoping this time it'll be for keeps" she whispered, she lingered long enough for a breathe of salty air...........as she walked hurriedly towards the parking lot...she saw a familiar face...It's Ji Chang Wook...he was walking towards her

"Ji hyun-ah" smiling he called softly

"Oppa...why are you here? The photo shoot is tomorrow...did my manager...." she said

"No, I just felt, I needed to be here" he interrupted "I felt you are here..." he continued with a smile

"Oppa...I" she said not being able to finish her sentence

"Ji hyun-ah, Let's start all over again?" he said

Ji hyun-ah was horrified, it was that dreaded line again..."let's start all over again? as friends? as strangers?" she thought fumbling for the right words to say

"Together...once again...give me a chance to prove to you how much you mean to me...I am lost without you...It was really foolish of me to let you go...I'm sorry I got scared for us.....for me...without realizing that it's scarier not to have you by my side, till your gone....can you please take me back, please let's give love one more chance...let's try harder not to have regrets....please take me back" he begged

Ji hyun was lost in disbelief, it was one thing that she saw his confession on national tv but it's really another thing when he was here face to face...it's surreal, everything went in slow motion, even the rustling of the leaves were music to her ears. She was over whelmed with so much joy...so much love for this man...he walked towards her, stood in front of her and held her hands, while looking in her eyes he softly said "Ji hyun-ah, Saranghae"

Familiar emotion swept her off her feet, she couldn't fake it any longer....no use to run this time...embracing ones fear and being true to ones heart is the road to true happiness " Nado Saranghae...." she whispered 

"Yes let's do it...another try...another chance...let's just love" Ji hyun thought with a smile
