“What. The. Hell?”

Mark looked terrified when he saw the three little girls standing before him, bowing deeply as Mark’s CEO, Kwon Jiyong, smiled proudly. He had chosen the right kids. Seating not far away from them, Choi Seunghyun, the company’s second man slash Jiyong’s lover, who was still working on papers but ears were all on his lover and Mark, also smiled brightly.

“They are your children, Mark. This is the eldest of them, Dara,” the one at the further left, who was the tallest of them all, bowed to Mark with a big smile while holding who seems to be the youngest from the siblings in her arms. The girl looked like she’s gonna split with that big of a smile, it was obvious she was so so happy seeing Mark. “This is Chaerin, the middle daughter,” Jiyong patted the girl’s head, the one standing before him. She had a rebellious smile on her face, but shows respect to Mark nonetheless. “And this is the youngest, Bommie.”

Mark winced in disgust when the little girl in Dara’s hold pulled her thumb she was from and waved the saliva coated hand to him. Dara smiled and wiped the saliva off her sister’s hand, making Mark more disgusted, and told her to bow her head to Mark. The kid nodded her head to Mark in a cute way that Mark almost smiled at the sight. ALMOST.

“They are going to be your kids from now on, and you are going to treat them like one. They will call you Appa, Mark Appa. Markie Appa. Anything as long as there’s an ‘Appa’ behind it. They will live with you in your apartment, and you—“

“Excuse me??” Mark cut his boss’s words. “Live with me? As in... The same apartment as me? They can’t, Hyung! What if I bring a girl home? Should I let them hear her moan my name as I fuc—“

“Mark!!!” it was Seunghyun who cut him before he finished the taboo word. It was known that Seunghyun does not like people who likes to swear, and it is a miracle that Kwon Jiyong who swears a lot can get the older man to fall in love with him. Jiyong sighed, looking at Mark with disappointed eyes. He couldn’t believe his favourite boy was going to say those words in front of the kids. “I will be taking the kids to the cafeteria. Seunghyun Hyung, please talk to him. I don’t know how to explain this anymore.”

Seunghyun nods in understanding. He stood up and walked to his lover, kissed the pink haired man’s forehead before the petite man went out of the CEO’s working room with Dara and her sisters. The kids bowed to Seunghyun and Mark, before taking Jiyong’s hand and went out with him.

“I can’t believe you’re doing this to me, Hyung!!” Mark exploded once the kids were outside. “I can’t believe you're really making me do this!”

Seunghyun sighed, he massaged his temples while listening to his second favorite boy (Mark may be Jiyong’s golden boy but his will always be Jeon Jackson) rambling about how unfair he was treating him. He moved to sit on his chair, letting Mark rambled his protest. Mark talked and talked until he realized his boss was not reacting, so he stopped. He sat on the chair across Seunghyun, and waited for the first man in their company to speak up.

“We’ve discussed this before, Mark,” Seunghyun finally said. “You’re image has been very bad since your scandal,” this made Mark’s face turned red, he hated when his scandal is brought up, even if it’s his boss. “And you never act better since. You just went on with the bad boy image they gave you, you never did anything to prove them wrong! You screw every girl you met at the club, making a lot of dating scandals with other celebrities, getting drunk in some of your performance. You’ve crossed the line. You are going out of control, Mark Tuan.”

“Tch,” he sniffed out. “Out of your control, you mean, Hyung? Not mine. I never put any borders to how I should act, you did.”

“Yes, of course I did,” Seunghyun answered him. His voice suddenly so low and full of authority. Mark who was about to talk back decided to shut it. Choi Seunghyun is a successful CEO of a production company. Even if he acts silly and funny most of the times, he can be serious at times. He holds a lot of people’s respect, and at moments like this, Mark can see why. “No matter how close we are, I am still the CEO of Dragon Entertainment. You work for me. I am your superior. I built this company together with Jiyong with a lot of struggle, and I won’t let you ruin it now. There’s so many life on stake, Mark. There’s Heaven, there’s your band, there’s other people who depends on this company for a living. And there’s yourself. Do you really not care about them being screwed up just because you wanted to live your life the way you wanted? Don’t you care about what they have sacrificed to get where they are right now? Don’t you care about your sacrifices and all you did to be what you are right now?”

The uprising artist of Korea who came from the States. The producer of his own album. The composer of most of GOT7’s songs. Dragon Entertainment’s young prince. The icon of the fashion industry. One of Korean youth’s trend-setter. He was on top of his fame when he made one mistake that pulled him down from the fame he was just enjoying to the black hole where he is now.

“You need to rebuild your image, Mark Tuan. And this is a new start. This is a perfect way to do it.”
