I used to live in a rent house that had the wall stuck together with other houses. I actualy hated it since the wall was a bit thin and my neighbor was quite noisy. I did not know whether it a she or he since I never met my neighbor in person. Not even once, but I always heard him/her making noises, like punching something on a wall every night. It really tested my patient but I tried to stay calm. However, one night, after so many days without sleep, a sound louder that usual woke me in the middle of the night and it made me mad. So the day after that, I complaint to the landlady and told her how noisy my neighbor was. She replied with a frawn on her forehead "I'm sorry kid, but you don't have a neighbor. The room next to you has been empty since you moved in."
