Description
We're no better than strangers.
Foreword
My father once told me that it was pathetic to kneel down before someone.
Because if you do, you're taking the easy way out. You're blinded by the greed to have that you throw away what is really needed and instead you just beg. Beg someone to fix everything when you haven't done anything. In the end, you're left with nothing.
You become a soulless person, perfectly normal on the outside but really just an empty shell walking on the Earth.
The only exception is to ask your lover if they can spend an eternity with you.
So I'm kneeling down before you today.
The irony is that I'm not asking if you'll stay with me forever, I'm begging you not to leave. Whatever it takes, even if I have to beg for it.
You walked away anyways, not even sparing a single glance back at me.
You left me in that miserable state.
And I knew then I should have listened to Father's words.
