Chapter 2

The drive to work was mainly just Sooyoung talking with me giving answers every now and then. It was still too early for a conversation, but of course not for THE CHOI SOOYOUNG.

"Oh! I almost forgot again. The important thing I wanted to talk to you about.."

"Yeah what about it," I said uninterested.

"You sound super excited," she said sarcastically,"but anyways, it is pretty important since you are my boss. Here take this and read it"

She handed over a folder filled with documents and I skimmed through the pages. Statistics. Budgets. Management. New employees. Interesting.

"What do we know about the new employees?" I asked.

“Remember how we went on a hiring rampage after that one problem occurred?”

“Please don’t remind me of that so early,” I sigh while rubbing my temple

“Well anyways we were able to find and hire 8 new employees. A copy of their resumes and their applications should be in there, as well as, notes from the interview. We should be able to meet them today since it’s their first day after training under us for a few months,” she said

"I’d like you to read through it and at least try to remember their names before you meet them," she concluded before turning into the company's parking lot.

"Okay whatever you say boss," I laugh while getting out of the car.

We headed into the building and towards the cafe as usual.

Everyone that we walked towards had bowed and greeted us a good morning with us returning the greeting.

"Doesn’t this ever tire you out Alex?" Sooyoung asked, carrying the cup carrier for the drinks we ordered as we started walked towards the elevators

"Soo you know I love having a good connection with the staff...and my parents always said to treat everyone kindly no matter what," I said bumping shoulders with her. I stopped in my tracks to look at her.

“And…” I say holding my chin pretending like I’m thinking.

“What?”

“I also get abs in the process ya know” I then speed jogged towards the elevator

"Yah" was all I heard with heels clicking my way.

Once I was a few feet away from the elevator, I looked at the new employees’ papers since I had to wait for Sooyoung either way. Yet, I suddenly felt myself colliding with something.

Please don’t tell me I hit a wall. Or even worse...a door.

I felt the papers fall out of the folder I was still holding in my hand. I closed my eyes and groaned in pain wondering if any were crumpled underneath me.
