"College? In Korea?" I questioned. "Appa, don't you think that's quite absurd?"
"I know, Hyesoo-ah." Appa sympathetically smiled, tapping me on the shoulder. "There are important matters I have to fix in Korea, it's been busy nowadays since the company is getting more and more competitors. I hope you understand."
My frown turns into a sad smile, "Aniyo, Appa, I promised to understand. So I will try my best to do so."
"Don't worry, you won't be alone in Korea."
A month later
(At the party)
"So he's the one you're saying who won't leave me alone." I looked at him from head to toe, no doubt, it is Kim Taehyung.
"What? He's your best friend since second grade." Appa asks with a smile on his face, nudging me with his elbow.
I rolled my eyes as I look at Kim Taehyung and his father Kim Daehyung, "He was my best friend ten years ago."
"So? I figured that you wouldn't experience much pressure when you're with a friend. So I asked Mr. Kim to help you cope up with pressure in school."
"Appa, I'm not a grade schooler. Besides, he's not even my friend anymore!"
He just ignores me.
"Oh, here they are." Appa widens his smile as he approached Mr. Kim Daehyung with a hug, then shook Kim Taehyung's hand. "Taehyung. This is Hyesoo, still remember her?"
I always knew that this is a bad idea — That Kim Taehyung is a bad news. After an indecent talk with Taehyung, I went straight to the bar counter and sat at one of the stools, ordering a tequila sunrise.
I took a long sip of the cocktail before almost slamming the glass down on the wodden counter.
