“Jongin.”

“Yeah?”

“I love you. So much.”

Yixing wants to know why.

“Stop smoking.”

Jongin shrugs, “I will.”

He’s giving him the same answer for a year.

Yixing has yet to see it happen.

Yixing wants Jongin to quit.

Because he loves him.

Jongin’s breath smells of cigarette and low quality whiskey.

Yixing doesn’t like the smell of these things, but he likes the taste of Jongin’s mouth.

He loves it. So, so much.

He could kiss every inch of his face, his body for eternity; he’ll never get tired of it.

“Jongin.” Yixing calls in a breathless whisper, his face can rival the color of strawberries, lips swollen from all the kissing, hair disheveled from hair pulling. “We’re at the park; anyone can see us.” Earlier, Jongin asked him if he could accompany him for a cigarette break, Yixing couldn’t say no.

Jongin pants, making the Chinese man inhale his cigarette breath, Jongin smiles, “I don’t care.”

“Jong-”

The taller made his mouth shut by placing his own lips on Yixing’s.

Ah, he loves Jongin too much.

Yixing is the complete opposite of Jongin.

Jongin is suffocating smoke, pretend smiles, sharp gaze, hates the world.

Yixing is clear clouds with sunshine, genuine smiles, warm gaze, always sees the world in positive ways.

Yixing is everything Jongin isn’t.

But they are together.

Completing each other’s puzzles.

They work.

Jongin was broken when Yixing found him.

His family disowned him for being gay, his brother secretly paid for his tuition but Jongin had to work for his food and rent and other school things.

He got depressed when his first boyfriend broke his heart for choosing to leave the country.

He got anger issues when his second boyfriend cheated.

Jongin would throw any furniture he would see.

Yixing was shocked at the mess of their apartment.

He had no time to get angry and ask Jongin what happened.

He just looked for Jongin and when he saw him sobbing in their bathtub,

He hugged him tightly, kissing the crown of his head as a way to tell him he’s always there.

Because Yixing loves Jongin. So, so much.

Yixing’s parents don’t like Jongin.

Yixing’s siblings hate Jongin.

Yixing’s friends are scared of Jongin.

They kept on telling him he made a bad decision for staying on Jongin’s side.

Jongin smokes. Jongin drinks. Jongin has anger issues.

Jongin doesn’t have a permanent job. Jongin is too handsome to be loyal for Yixing.

Jongin doesn’t tell him he loves him.

But Jongin told him he forgot how to breathe when Yixing asked him one time to break up with him.

Bad decision it is.

He’ll still stick to Jongin’s side.

Because he loves Jongin. Very much.

“Chicken.”

“Pizza.”

“Chicken.”

“Pizza.”

“Yixing, you chose for our dinner last night. It’s my turn, so-”

Yixing shakes his head, “pizza.”

Jongin laughs and nods, “pizza it is.”

Jongin is whipped for Yixing.

And he loves that fact.

They are lying comfortably on their rooftop; Yixing is looking at Jongin with fond smile.

“I love you. Why?”

Jongin just hums.

“I chose you. Why?”

Jongin gives him a small smile.

Yixing pouts at the lack of answer.

Because I won't survive without you. I love you. More than my life.

Jongin wants to say. Yixing knows he doesn’t need say it.

Because Yixing knows it already.

“Why not?” Jongin finally answers.

Yixing laughs, flicks Jongin’s forehead and continues to stare at the stars and moon.

“Beautiful.” Jongin says.

Yixing nods. “The stars are so beautiful tonight.”

Jongin is not talking about the celestial bodies.

He laughs anyway.
