Clues

Description

Jungkook has been having dreams about a man. A man that has been warning him about something. Something that Jungkook can't seem to figure out.

Foreword

The dreams were normal to him now. That's what Jungkook told people every time the subject came up. He had been having detailed dreams about a man, that appeared abot 3 months ago. The man would usually give him advice about everyday life issues, or what to do in a situation that went badly. However, the advice had  been getting really, really descriptive. Dreams about always being loyal, but maintaing a guard to some point, were turning into odd instructions. Like the first one, around a week ago. The man had teleported him from his house, to times square, and all of a sudden, the man dragged Jungkook into a police station. The dreams just got weirder from that point on. The last dream he had, was light night. Jungkook was with his family watching a moie, and the lights went out for a few seconds out of nowhere. When they came back on, his faimly was all gone, and the only people there, were Jungkook and his mysterious new friend. By now, these dreams were starting to scare him. It was today, that he decided to tell someone that he thought would be able to help, which in his case, was his parents.

"Hey Jungkook, I made breakfast! You want some pancakes?" His mother said, as Jungkook walked into the room.

Jungkook loved pancakes, and everybody that knew him figured that out at some point. Today, though, food wasn't on his mind.

"No, thanks. Can I talk to you about something? And where's dad? He needs to be here too," Jungkook said, without looking at his mother.

"Yea, of course. your father is in the bathroom. Why?" His mother's voice was filled with worry, and his fathers would be soon.

His father was normally a very jovial person, but when he saw his family's worry as he walked into the room, his eyes went dark with worry as well.

"Son? Are you ok?"

"No. I've having dreams. Scary dreams, Dreams that have turned into things that are making me question my safety."

His father paused for a moment, and replied after a few seconds.

"What kind of dreams, Kook? You can tell us anything, you know that, right?" His mother said, suspicion filling the crevices of the tone in her voice.

"Yea, or course I know that mom. The dream I had last night was us, in the living room, watching Spartacus, when all of the lights went off, and when they came back on, you guys were gone. And there's this man in all of my dreams that have been giving me advice, almost instructions lately, like he's warning me about something. What should I do?" Jungkook said, the adrenaline getting to him, as spoke with speed as fast as lightning.

His parents saw the fear in their son's eyes, and immedietely knew tha whatever was happening, was terrifying him. His father was the state sheriff, so Jungkook alwasy went to him for advice. His mother was more like his health-guru. Whenever he got sick, or hurt in any way, he wetn to his mtoher. When he felt scared, or unsure about something, he went to his dad, who alway seemed like a strong statue who couldn't be brought down easily.

"I think we should try and se who this guy in your dreams is. If he's real. Do you know his name?" His father asked, the seriousness of his voice echoing throughout the family home they lived in.

"No, and he's always in a cloak. I have no clue what he even looks like." Jungkook said, shaking by this point.

"Well, if we're going to get this understood, you need to find out who this guys is. If not, we're not going to get anywhere with this," His father said, and went into the bedroom, his fingers rubbing against his temples.

That night, Jungkook went to sleep, hoping to hae another dream about the man that confused him so much. Luckily, he did, and it was informed him of the things that Jungkook seemed to be screaming for answers of, as if the man had been physically on earth, and had heard him talking to his parents.

In this dream, Jungkook was in a house that he did not recognize, with what seemed like a family inside of it. The man was beside him, until he suddeny went to join the people, who were playing twizzler. The man laughed, and happily twisted his body into shapes after taking his cloak off, and slinging it onto the cold, wood floor of the living room.

As Jungkook scraped his brain, attempting to find the reasons for why he had just done all of this, everything clicked at once. The man was with his family. What was it with family that was so important to him? And what about the times square dream? Jungkook thought about all of the dreams that had faimilies in them, that had kept staring at the man to get a gd look, now that his cloak wasn't on. Then he figured out an odd connection. The cloak covering him. The times square, when he pulled Jungkook away from public people. Family and hiding, Jungkook thought, attempting to find the connection. Then all out of no-where, he heard the old man of the group say a name, which sounded like a muffled, IM NAMJOON.  IM NAMJOON. That had to be his name. Then, he woke up.

When he woke up, he raced to his father's room, to tell him the news. "Dad! Dad! Im Namjoon! His name is Im Namjoon!!" He screamed, with furious exitment.

His father looked at him as he ran into his son, as if something had ripped his serenity right out of him.

"What-wha-waht did you say? Nam joon?" His father said,  clearly shaken up about something that Jungkook could not figure out.

"Well, yea, why?" Jungkook was beyond confused.

"Kim Namjoon. He died three years ago; he was murdered."

Jungkook's heart felt as if it had stopped altogether.

"That man is trying to tell you something."

"well, he keeps mentioning family in his dreams, and secrecy seems to be his thing."

"Do you know how he ws killed?"

"No, how?"

"The murderer is famous for killing people with good supportive families. And the secrecy? I think that may be about him trying to tell you to stay hidden, until he finds this man he's apparently after."

"Where was he killed...?" Jungkook asked, the times square racing through his mind.

Jungkook had a small inkling that the first dream being to do with secrecy, and the times square, was a clue. One that he should have taken. His father's answer, confirmed what he thought.

"Times square, at daylight, when no-one was around."

"My first dream... Was in the times square."

Jungkook, he's telling you about family. Trying to keep you out of public places, and wore a cloak himself. He's warning you that the killing is going after you."

Jungkook didn't have a dream that night. When he woke up, the news he was watching with his father, said of a man by the name of Min Yoongi being killed, with no explaination. The news had explained that the man had been a notorious killer, known for killing people with supportive families. But what shocked Jungkook the most, was where the killer's dead body was found, which was at times square.

He knew in his heart that it was his new friend, Nam joon, and that night, he had one, last dream. In this one, the man hugged him, without his cloak on, and told him that he would always be there in the distance when Jungkook needed him. He didn't give a reason as to why he had decided to help Jungkook in the first place, but Jungkook didn't need one. When he woke up that next morning, he found a drawing of that same hug he and his new friend had together, on his pillow.

He really hoped he would see him again.
