clouds in magenta hair

jeon jungkook/lalisa manoban

(puppy love)

lisa gazes over the rosy amber sky as the pastel ochre paints across the horizon. her eyes are blinking, the grass feels a lot softer today, tingling her skin under the floral dress she’s wearing. the warm scent of grass lingers that her mind feels so calm for a while.

her long forefinger traces the vague outline of the clouds with one eye close to have a definite sight of the color-shifting evening sky, “it looks like a potato. oh, i see a cute dog there.”

gently, her eyes shift away from the sky, and then to jungkook who’s been lying down beside her. a small giggle escapes as she realizes the boy is sleeping soundly, eyelashes seem unmoving. she can’t help but has the little urge to admire his peaceful resting look.

she scoots closer on the grass with her elbow almost brushing his motionless body before propping her head in her palm and carefully lays her eyes on his sleeping feature.

jungkook has always been good-looking to her eyes – maybe, not from the beginning since well, their first encounter didn’t start nice, but through the days she’s spent with him here, their relationship just gradually gets better and better.

almost like they’re more than friends, but not. they just happened to love the same things; dancing and photography, despite to their contrast personalities, but they just work that way. compatible in every sense.

she does realize how he’s actually pretty handsome just like what everyone said; in which lisa would never tell him because she knows how she would need to deal with his smugness later on. he knows that he has the looks and everyone knows that too, but it would be a complete lie if his cheeky smile didn't make her heart leap at times. she thinks of it as strange. what if she actually found him attractive?

her eyes travel from the tip of his red fringe that has almost reached his eyes, to his shapely nose, well-defined jaw, and her gaze stops at his lips for a moment.

like she’s drawn at the boy’s thin lips as her eyes stay longer staring at them; they seem so soft, pink and kissa—lisa immediately shakes her head, completely horrified with her own thoughts. what was she even thinking?

“like what you see?”

lisa lurches her face away from him in a speed of lightning as a high-pitched gasp escapes from when suddenly, he peeks an eye open along with a smirk playing on his lips. not knowing jungkook wasn’t asleep the whole time but he just pretended to.

she then rolls on the grass over, away from him as far as she could, certainly mortified when he caught her red-handedly looking at him – thank god he’s not a minder reader or else, it would be even more embarrassing.

jungkook chortles obnoxiously with his annoying deep voice—i'm handsome, right?—in between, making lisa rolls her doe eyes, annoyed, before blowing her bangs almost in frustration.

“i’m good-looking, right? lisa?”

he asks wittily, eyebrows wiggling fascinatedly, and the older replies with a deadpanned no, he asks again and she comes out with the same exact answer.

sneakily, both of his hands reach to each side of her waist, giving a little start of tickle, lisa squeaks at the sudden touch before her whole body falls backwards to the grass.

his long fingers curl to her skin, tickling her even more and she laughs, can’t barely speak a word, as the boy has found her weakness on how ticklish she is. the two wrestle like little puppies, bodies are pressed down as the grass under pokes across her back even more.

“goodness gracious,” giggle, “jungkook,” giggle, “stop,” giggle and giggle, “please.”

but, he doesn’t show any sign of stopping nor mercy. mischievous fingers delightedly dancing at the lowest side of her ribcage. probably he’s having too much fun seeing how loosened she is.

eyes are fluttered close as her twinkling breathless giggle resonates around ever so melodiously. little vanes of grass managed to get stuck in her golden brown hair as long wavy tresses are sprawled all over the place.

for a sudden moment, he stops and she could finally open her slightly wet doe eyes, inadvertently straight to jungkook’s starry ones.

heavily panting, she blinks softly and he does the same when he’s on top of her, his knees caging hers and it has taken them a while to realize it. lips are just an air from each other's, as if they're waiting for the right moment.

the evening is patently serene; a hue of fade blue has valiantly mixed with the now golden rose smeared skyline, vast across somewhere at the end of the river and it’s such a breath-taking sight, she marvels.

how jungkook’s windswept magenta hair glows under the shaded sunbeam. so messy that she has the urge to thread her fingers down his locks tenderly. a boyish grin that is too true to be that charming. his sun-kissed skin matches perfectly with his bright hair. how can someone even look this ridiculously fine? so prominent by now, and the sight is too familiar – it’s like he’s a part of the sky.

everything seems to be forgotten in her head – the potato shaped clouds, even the dog shaped one. she doesn't have anything particular in her head right now except for jungkook's face. the feelings have just bloomed out of nowhere beneath her chest. growing out of control, out of her will, but lisa thinks she doesn't hate it? she's unsure and confused? it just feels nice, like a home. definitely where it belongs.

nothing can distract her as much as jungkook does. he hypnotizes her in every way that even she couldn't describe. perhaps, all of these signs are too early for her to figure it out? figuring out how jungkook has a special place in her life that she eventually has some sort of feelings for him? maybe, but for now, she just wants to admire this godsent view. anything can wait.

his fingers brush a strand of hair away from her face when the wind blows softly with his touch is almost electrifying and warming at the same time. it makes her shy as her cheeks turn rosier than they already are. however, he doesn’t lean down for a kiss the next moment—lisa is a little disappointed—but perhaps this is more than enough in any perfect scene she has imagined.

the puffy clouds troop in a very dawdling motion, she doesn’t mind if the time would eventually freeze when it means that she’s got to see this beautiful view – how jungkook is mostly the muse of this quaint nature piece of artwork. the muse of her imaginary little fairytale.

Chapter 5: i was going through the lizkook tag and realized that apparently i upvoted and commented on this but just never subscribed?? idek what i was doing LOL

but!! this story is so adorable!! i really love lisa's monologue and all the flowery descriptions and it was super cute how flustered she was by jungkook. the moment when you first start developing a crush on someone, when you're hesitatant to put a label on your confused feelings is a really delicate, pure moment and you captured that feeling perfectly here! + i really love lizkook these days haha and this was a nice addition to the tag~

thanks for writing and sharing this!!

Chapter 2: Omg i cant even form words right now? I love this i love how you portray their relationship. Like how taeyong's affection is built gradually and how he is the walking definition of tsundere and how he thinks he is a bad friend and how nayeon is oblivious the way she is and how she is not that surprised and how she doesn't have to think about the answer at all and instead just finds taeyong really cute the entire time? I'm blabbering don't mind me please write more for them i love you? No i mean i love you.
