PROLOGUE Sandara Park's POV Tragedy. Stranger. Forty-four of us were trapped inside the bus. Strangled cries echoed dreadfully, and eventually none of us were actually chanting on the words 'hang on' anymore. I'd still cringed at the sight of overlapping corpses with closest being at just beneath my feet while mentally readying myself into that heart-stopping moment.  Memories of the past were becoming painfully clear and still, I couldn't help but to be bothered by the trembling hands of an unknown person all around. It caused my insides goes rollercoaster. I gasped for a breathe, and gulps of air raced inside my lungs, yet only to yield a choking-like sensation within me. With limp hands, every muscle inside my body clenched. Only this day did I learnt the pungent smell of blood, human fleshes—and the morbid of death. Struggling with every seconds, my gazes were fixed at some point in the distance, praying that everything could have ended in a less painful way. When I was about to close both eyes, surrendering to this tragic end, someone reached for my hand and mumbled: “We’ll survive this together.”  Taeyeon. The warm touch of her hands served like a trigger for me to exhale in relief. As she gave a firm squeeze above mine, I stiffly turned to take a closer look at her—the stranger who sit next to me from minutes ago.  Small crystal beads trailed down her cheek then dripped on the back of my hand.
