Hello you gorgeous people~ I'm here with yet another GOT7 fanfic starring my ultimate bias Mark and my bias wrecker Jackson! YAAAAY~
Anyway, let's meet the characters!
Vanessa (Nessa) Hyland
22 years old. Smart and knows five languages fluently: English, Chinese, Korean, Japanese and Spanish. She was born to a Korean mom and an American dad in South Korea. However she moved to the USA to live with her grandparents at the age of 14 to study there. For college she went to Stanford and double majored in English and East Asian Studies. She currently works as an English teacher in Hyundai Senior High School and does translating as a side job. She hopes to write books one day.
Hom (Zee) Zaylee
Vanessa’s best friend. They met in Stanford when they got selected as roommates. She can speak Cantonese, Mandarin and English since Zaylee went to American International School. Zaylee was also gymnast, but injured her knee while training for the 2012 Olympics freshman year of college. Fortunately, she was smart enough, so she stayed in Stanford and focused on her major in film and media because of her love of Dramas. Her and Vanessa parted ways after graduation since she moved back to Hong Kong.
Mark Tuan
23 years old. Born and (kind of) raised in California. Member of Kpop boy band GOT7. After living in Brazil, he moved back to California and attended high school there. He got scouted by JYP entertainment in 2010 and left for Korea that same year before he could graduate.
Jackson Wang
23 years old. Member of the boy band GOT7. He was a fencer who had an offer to go to Stanford on a full ride for fencing but turned it down to got to Korea to train as an idol.
Foreword
"GOT7 is coming back with the last part of their Flight Log trilogy! Titled Flight Log: Arrival, the seven boys are aiming to fly high on the charts with this new and improved album! There title song 'Never Ever' is something you don't want to miss!"
Vanessa looked at news article online. She narrowed her eyes, scrutinizing her laptop screen.
"Wow. They can't even use the right 'their' and the grammar ! Note to self: never trust that news website ever again." She scoffed. It was late at night, and she just moved back to Korea from the United States yesterday. She was still jet lagged, but it was her first day of school tomorrow as an English teacher so she was a little excited.
And the reason why she was just scrolling through the news? She wanted to know what was going on in Korea of course! Other than the whole President Park Geunhye impeachment thing, there wasn't anything interesting.
So naturally, she went to the "pop" section of the news. And she had to click on this particular article. You know, "just to see how he was doing". At least, that was her excuse. But she was so distracted at how horribly written the article was that she didn't even pay attention to the content. It's just how a linguist's brains work. She can't do anything about it.
"Well, at least I know he's having a comeback. That means he's doing well." She spoke to herself as she turned her laptop off and placed it to the side. She went under her bed covers and closed her eyes.
