"You seriously thought I hated you?"

I nodded. "You never talked to me before, and was always rude."

"I'm sorry." Ryan looked up at the night sky. "Talking to you, seeing you without knowing about your thoughts...it terrified me."

"You shouldn't have been terrified."

"I know, but you know love. There's a song that has the lyrics 'If love is worth the time, the prize is being rejected.' I find it very true." He a lock of my hair. "Love made me crazy."

"How crazy?" I loved hearing him telling me how infatuated he had been.

"Enough to write poems on you. I'm not even good at them."

"Will you let me read them?"

He smiled. "One day. If you'll be my girlfriend."

I laughed. "As if you had to ask."

Ryan leaned closer. "Yes I do," his face serious. "Lisa, do you want to be my girlfriend?"

I didn't feel like answering with words so I decided to tell him with my love.
