What is Discord? — Discord is an all in one voice and text chat for gamers that's free, secure, and works on both your desktop and phone.

Aside from that, however, Discord is also a good place to host a roleplay with the reason that it is both similar and yet different with the many mobile platforms commonly used for roleplaying a majority of you are already familiar with.

How does it work? — It's all very simple. Discord is both a desktop and phone application, and you can grab the link to download it here. After downloading it, it's vital to not skip the tutorial. I know, I know. Tutorials are boring, but the Discord tutorial is important because it's a lot better at explaining the technicalities of it than the admins of Anthology (we are, however, available to answer any questions if you have them.)
 

Once your application has been accepted, you will be given twenty-four hours to create a Discord account. Once you have, please reply to your original comment with your DiscordTag and an admin will then add you into the servers of the roleplay.

Anthology offers four servers. One for general announcements where you can keep to date with the latest news from the admin as well as leave suggestions or concerns, another for plotting, and another to actually roleplay your plots. Each server has a tutorial post and an admin is always available to help you out, so please don't be afraid to try us out! It's much, much easier than it looks. The last server is for OOC purposes, so you can talk to and bond with the other members in a casual setting.

Anthology — Anthology was created after spotting all the roleplay partner ads as a platform for roleplayers who are interested in plotting in general. We don't see face claims because in Anthology, you can be whatever character you'd like; whether it be in an AU or Non-AU setting, Anthology is not a general roleplay nor is it a specifically AU roleplay. Anthology is a multiverse, freeform roleplay and because of that, the usage of specific face claims are not necessary. A place to roleplay anything you'd like, starting from science fiction, to horror, to something supernatural. There are many possibilities, and the limit is your imagination. 

Rules & Regulations — Subscription is appreciated, but not mandatory. The same goes for upvotes. No double accounts, as we don't have face claims (it works like a usual KKT/Line freelance roleplay account where you simply choose an alias and can switch between face claims any time you want) and you'll be allowed to play as many characters in as many verses as you'd like; again, however, no double accounts. Activity checks are held every two weeks, if you do not pass an activity check, say goodbye to Anthology. Bullying, cliques, or any type of OOC unsavory behavior is strictly forbidden. IC drama is alright as long as all parties have consented. Godmodding or mary/gary stu characters are not allowed, we're aware that roleplaying isn't anything that's life/death, but at least be serious about it. Avoid talking about sensitive topics and do not use racial slurs; if you are plotting something with triggering content, please place a trigger warning on your plot as a courtesy for the other members. Inappropriate contents are forbidden in the OOC group, we have minors. If you would like to leave Anthology, please inform an admin via direct message.
